Why does every planet in Star Wars have to be a specific type of planet, like a volcanic planet, or a grasslands planet, or a water planet, or a desert planet?

Do none of these planets have seasons, or different climates, or polar ice caps and a tropical equator like Earth? Why no large Earth-like planets with crushing gravity, or barren wastelands without a breathable atmosphere? Speaking of which, why the fuck does a planet like Mustafar have an atmosphere with oxygen, when it appears to be a primordial planet that wouldn't have an oxygenated atmosphere?

Star Wars is the plebest of the pleb science fiction franchises. It doesn't even attempt to be sci-fi, it's essentially fantasy at this point.

Masterful

I hear you man, children's movies are so much better.

disney has commissioned my film which is about a jedi crash landing on a medieval planet and winds up dying, and giving his light saber away to a talented young knight (who maybe he shouldn't have trusted)

Precisely

Planet Planet

It's pretty based. There are also like 6 different garbage planets in the EU.

candy planet

somewhere iti s raining

aside from the flashback, it has not rained anywhere in star wars

god damn

The thing about Star Wars is that there's been so much shit done in the EU, that there's literally no truly new ideas possible.

Even if you were to come up with some crazy idea on your own, there's a 99.99% chance it's already been done in the EU. Whether a specific type of world or a character arc scenario or anything.

It did in Rodue One on Eadu

a Sup Forums planet

MAINE
STREEM
METEOR

It doesn't get dark during a total solar eclipse though. What about a tidally locked planet or moon, where one half never has daylight (like our moon, except habitable)

Star Wars never sci-fi and always fantasy, fagoon.
