any pushes towards utopia are pushes towards dystopia where people at the top benefit
look at regional revolutions throughout history: the revolution removes the corrupt power, the new "good" leaders are established, and the "good" leaders become the old leaders or worse as a result of being given too much power.
Utopias will only truly be possible in a post-scarcity society where everyone has the ability to sustain themselves without effort. otherwise you'll be backing the power grab of someone who already has a lot of power.
