palpatine would've been given the death sentence and Anakin would've been comforted by Padme so he wouldnt have been corrupted by the dark side.

he controls the senate and the courts, he's too dangerous to be kept alive

A NIGGERRRR HE IS!!!!

UPSIDE DOWN WITH A LIGHTSABER IN YOUR ASS WE WOULD HAVE YOU
SIX HUNDRED YEARS AGO!

Shocks you, it does... to see what's burried beneath.

Sheeve would've gone full UNLIMITED POWER and killed both Mace and Anniekin.

Sheev gets away free because it will 100% certainly be declared a mistrial for numerous reason including an unlawful detainment and lack of a warrant.

UNLIMITED BILLABLE HOURS.

He relaxes his guard for a second, the completely infuriated and emotional Palpatine kills mace Windu and then lies to Anakin about it needing to be done, Anakin doubts him at first but is eventually convinced. Plot remains unchanged.

he IS the Senate, mate. what fair trial? Mace knew it, they gotta kill this old fuck right here and there. he's too dangerous to be let alive.

>Sheev beating anakin
Implying

Palpatine will just try spinning the truth. It's a good trick.

"So, why did you arrest the chancellor?"
"He's a Sith Lord"
"Can you prove that?"
"He has a lightsaber"
"Where?"
"I kicked it out the window"
"I see. No further questions."

"This court is now in session! Prosecution, what evidence do you have that Sheev Palpatine did anything wrong"

>He... uhm... one of the Jedi apprentices said he mentioned the dark side of the force once
>So, we, uh, think he's a Sith Lord

"Objection! Being a Sith is not a violation of the law. This republic sees equality of religious expression! Case dismissed"

Did.
Nothing.
Wrong.

...

Not to mention that Anakin would have every incentive to lie in his testimony, because he needs Palpatine alive and well in order to learn the secret to save Padme from dying.

More importantly, they can't even prove that he's a sith.

Palpatine was pretending to be overpowered by Mace much like Trump was pretending to be unfairly harassed by the media and the polls which ultimately made all the Middle American Anakins feel sorry for him and kill the legacy of the black man.

thank you user

clever girl

Exactly

except that would make it a little better
couldn't have that

Huh, really made me think

all those guys that he killed. plus cameras showing him spinning and killing all those guys.

They just need a blood sample to show the insane midichlorian count and to play the hologram tapes of him and Anakin.

and how is holding different religious beliefs than Jedi agains the law?

>and to play the hologram tapes of him and Anakin.

They don't have any hologram tapes, what are you talking about? There were no cameras in Sheev's office. The recording that we see in Episode 3 is from the Jedi Temple massacre, which doesn't happen in this scenario.

>all those guys that he killed

How did sheev kill them? He doesn't even have a lightsaber.

>They just need a blood sample to show the insane midichlorian count

That just proves that he has force potential, no that he's a sith.

>having high midichlorian count is against the law

Also, the hologram tapes you're referring to only happened later on. If Sheev were arrested, that wouldn't have happened.

Besides the fact that the camera doesn't show any of this (the footage was from the temple, not sheev's office) he can just say it was self-defense after the jedi attacked him

Cameras in his room? Nah

there's cameras outside that picked it up. the fight occurs next to a big window

Jedi lawyers could use the high midichlorian count as a justification to conscript Palpatine as a padawan, at which point he can simply 'disappear'.

that's a good trick

>Besides the fact that the camera doesn't show any of this (the footage was from the temple, not sheev's office) he can just say it was self-defense after the jedi attacked him

There are recording devices in his office, but they were only audio. So what Sheev does is shout "what are you doing? Traitors! Help me!" then destroy the mics himself. So all that recordings would prove is that the Jedi did attack him.

>there's cameras outside that picked it up

No there aren't.

>the fight occurs next to a big window

So what? Do you think there are cameras pointed at every window?

>conscript as a padawan

I don't think you can do this to an adult. And either way, Palpatine controls the Senate, the military, and the courts. Why would the Jedi be able to override all three of those things?

there were two recordings of Anakin that we saw, one of him killing those kids and another of him pledging allegiance to Sheev. Given where Anakin was situated for that hologram to have picked him up they could have also caught evidence of Sheev's autistic screeching and duel with Windu

youtube.com/watch?v=gVx4OOcIRXg

i mean, he is a supreme chancellor holding onto power way after his term is up

it'd be stupid if someone wasn't watching him

The people demanded he stay in office!

>I have the power to save the ones you love
>doesn't save anyone

Also Sheev was letting Windu win so Anakin would be the one to kill him

That's exactly what the jedi are doing, they sent in a spy.

just the dumbest fucking one they could have chosen

Was he also purposefully disfiguring his own face?

Wow Lucas went too far

thats a meme

Sheev tripped and lost his saber, Mace was just lucky.

...

>lets send the guy that distrusts us the most on a mission that will make him question the jedi council

Jedi Council couldn't be more stupid

Sheev is the one that chose Anakin
The Jedi had to comply and since they already senses the dark side of the force around the Chancellor told Anakin to keep an eye non him

Sheev wouldn't have trusted any other Jedi.

Yes, Windu points that out in Episode III.

>The Jedi had to comply and since they already senses the dark side of the force around the Chancellor

Their stupidity really is mind-boggling. They knew the Sith Lord was on Coruscant. They knew he had influence in the Republic's government. They knew he spent a lot of time around the Chancellor. And yet it never occurred to them that Palpatine himself might be the guy they're looking for.

i'm dying senpai
