Who the fuck wears a suit and tie to a live sporting event?

Watching the undercard fight now, noticing that all the males in the front rows are wearing suits and ties. I know those seats cost thousands of dollars and only rich guys are sitting there, but it's a fucking boxing match.
Is this really normal? People wear suits and ties while watching sports? It's not the opera, it's two shirtless guys punching eachother in the face

people with jobs

I'm wearing budgie smugglers and double pluggers.

Get fucked cunt.

>"Hey client im trying to get money from, want some front row tickets to the biggest boxing match ever"
>"yes that would be good, valued supplier"
>*wears suit as is appropriate for client entertainment event*

Are you dense?

vegas resident here
hit the nail on the head

Im positive this is how other countries and cities do it too

They probably had dinner at a fancy restaurant beforehand and blew a few grands at some casino.

And later on will blow coke in to a stripper's arsehole.

Some prick was in line in front of me waiting to vote during the last election in a suit, and no he hadn't come from work he was bragging that he put a suit on for the occasion, Iwanted to smack the cunt.

The announcers can wear suit/tie because their job is at the match. What's everybody else's excuse? I do have to dress up for work. It's a Saturday night, the rest of those guys aren't at work and neither am I.

I don't understand your language "mate"

All of them? Nobody goes to these boxing matches just to watch the fight, everybody is trying to impress a client and do business?

you probably come from some hickville with no idea of style, where the men wear camoflauge gear to walmart and the women wear shitty sweatpants with oversized stained t shirts

>he doesn't enjoy wearing a suit
Fag

so you've never attended a major sports event? minor league shit in bumfuck nebraska doesnt count

I didn't stutter cunt.

I've been to several NFL, MLB, and NBA games. Including playoffs for the latter two leagues. Never wore a fucking suit and tie to that shit

>he derives pleasure from clothing and fashion
how heterosexual of you

A boxing fight is not like a football game, there's a certain glamour around it that doesn't happen with other sports. It's like watching the F1 in Monaco, people will be dressed up because that's what's expected of them and because they will be doing things where it's normal to wear suits, like meeting clients or having dinner, etc.

I wear a suit when I go out to a bar or something. I don't wear a tie though. Once you get to a certain age, it's proper to wear slacks and a jacket to an evening event. You have to think that men used to dress like that every single day. It's only modern society that has made it normal for men to wear a t-shirt to pretty much anything other than a wedding these days. Ain't nothing wrong with wearing a suit.

i can fucking hear how poor you are through my screen

>only gay people care about fashion

t. kissless virgin

>I have to dress up for work yet I'm still a classless piece of shit
Buddy a fast food uniform isn't dressing up

precisely. Grown men should only wear sportswear while doing sports.

This desu. It's called self respect, OP.

Some people like to dress up. High end dress clothes are even comfortable. Boxing usually has people dressed pretty well at the events.

op underage ban

only women and feminine males are such brainlets that they fixate on clothing and fashion as something worthy of their attention beyond basic utilitarianism. just come out of the closet, dumb fag

it's ok, bro. i understand that you've never owned a decent article of clothing or anything tailored

don't worry, you might get a real job one day

>why do people take pride in their appearance
People like OP are the reason air travel, movie theaters, and sporting events are so shit now

to be fair, air travel is far worse than it used to be. i'm not sluffing through a fucking tsa line and a tiny regional jet with nice clothes on

>t. 19 year old who wears a suit to bars because "look at how mature I am!!!!"

>clothes are the only way to take pride in your appearance
I see lots of fatties in the audience user, they don't give a shit about appearance

That's a fair point lad.

I could argue that a decline in appearance correlated with an increase in obesity

>men used to dress like that every single day

this has never been true once throughout all of history

I have no problem with people going to bars in suits but sometimes it can come off as trying to be like Barney Stintson

no one gives a shit about how they look traveling on the plane I see first class in fucking pajamas damn near ever international flight you shut in mongloid

Did you read what I said or are you just going to be an uppity faggot?

ITT: people dont have the self awareness to realize a suite is as cringey as a fedora

why wouldn't you, you fucking slob

to be fair, most people flying on first class get a free pajama to wear, so its not unusual

lmao you're a complete moron, that was the case from the 1890s through the late 1960s in the us

t. neckbeard who has 'nice' cargo shorts and 'everyday' cargo shorts

...

I cant imagine how moronic you'd have to be to make a thread like this. Floor side seats can easily go for a hundred thousand, most seats in the front sections are given to sponsors and some amount of MGM high rollers who probably have a bigger line of credit with Casino then you will make in your life. There is defiantly a certain amount of decorum and respect you show at all times when you're in those circles.

prety sure the clients are enjoyin

It contributes to the pretense that something cultured and classy is going on, rather than just two guys whoring themselves out by stripping down to shorts and punching each other in the head like animals in exchange for millions of dollars.

Suits can be comfortable, sometimes. But there's a reason why these tech CEOs like Zuckerberg just wear sweatsuits like they don't give a fuck.
However, ties are AIDS. Just an awful throwback every guy wears due to generations of people saying "Because that's how we also did it"

the 'fight' didn't even sell out. they will be businessmen high rollers given free tickets.

Boxing matches are one of the favored things to bring a high dollar client to

>thousands of dollars
try hundreds of thousands. shits insane

no, there has always been different classes in society in US, lower class people have no reason to wear suits

>But there's a reason why these tech CEOs like Zuckerberg just wear sweatsuits like they don't give a fuck.

Because they can afford not to and because they've customized their work environment to be more casual, I presume.

lower class people had suits, just only one suit (and it was cheap as fuck)

but, please, remain willfully ignorant

Are you fat? How is a tie uncomfortable???

Ties are absolutely beautiful, and perfectly compliment a suit. A suit with no tie looks pretty stupid, if we aren't talking sports jackets.

Jesus christ you fucking obese poorfag. Get out of here with your suit hate. It's baby boomers who started this casual trend. Thankfully people are waking up that it is a great thing to want to dress well.

>a set of garments requires a simple piece of cloth around the neck otherwise it looks bad
wow great stuff

This argument can be continuously applied consecutively until you just end up naked.

How stupid.

>tie
>does not cover parts of your body that would otherwise be exposed

>all non retarded articles of clothing
>do cover parts of your body that would otherwise be exposed

wow what a hard distinction to find
