It's all relative. If you were a teenager in the 50s hearing little Richard or chuck berry or jerry lee Lewis playing rock and roll music for the first time, you would have lost your shit. Say what you want about 50s music now as you compare it to your contemporary indie, hiphop, and electronic music, it was the most exciting time to be a kid getting into new music.
