The Force

Tarkin for not giving his staff the heads up that the athsmatic guy in the gimp suit triggers easily.

>insulting the most powerful force user that ever was

Talk shit, get choked.

Some religious nutjob starts preaching in the middle of the military council

Some faggot obsessed with 'data tapes'.

well if might makes right then obviously it was the guy that got choked who was in the wrong.

the little twerp who ran his mouth

Havent seen R1, how do they reconcile the fact that the Force is considered a wacky cult even though it was used heavily in the Clone wars which would be in recent memory

Dark Invader

Not everyone faught in the clone wars.
Not everyone met a Jedi.
Not everyone got to see a Jedi use the force.

>can't conjure up the stolen data tapes
>didn't have enough clairvoyance to find rebels hidden base

So the majority of people didn't experience one of those three things or trusted the word of someone who did?

>guy with only 6 cough pastilles and 2 pens talking shit about force

would use force to crush his skull to be frank

Why can't you just take a vaccine so the midichlorians can't affect you?

>guy with only 6 cough pastilles

Why did Vader take orders from Tarkin?

No bullshit non-canon old EU answers, please.

Tarkin was simply higher rank and they were kinda buddies

He insulted him a lil' bit

They are friends, sortof. Vader respected Tarkin, at least.

Tarkin outranked him.

Because the Emperor told him to.

Despite being a living bodybag machine, Vader was a pretty humble guy.

One thing to consider is that the Jedi rounded up Force users fairly quickly, so there were a few people who slipped through the cracks who were force sensitive around, but that was nothing compared to the numbers who were taken to Coruscant to train. Jedi were fairly isolated from society, they didn't live with people and for the most part were out and about on missions.

Taken together you have a very limited number of people in the universe who know what a jedi can do, how they do it, and know exactly how deadly they are. People in Tatooine and the outer rim may not know a jedi ever, let alone hear anything but fabrications. Someone from Coruscant may know of Jedi, but have no idea that they do anything beyond religious experiences.

There's no real life counterpart to this, but what if there was a group in Siberia that regularly sent people out to do random tasks out in the world, and mentioned some religious phrases from time to time. I'd have a hard time thinking they were any more than missionaries if they didn't pull out their bear killing chainsaws and did battle with them.

I would believe word about the chainsaw-wielding missionaries if say, they were major players on a world-spanning conflict.

The jedi often led from the front during the clone wars. That means there were broadcasts of them in battle. Jedi would be front and center in republic propaganda, which billions if not trillions of people saw around the galaxy. Even if the empire erased them from the records, a shitload of people saw them in action during the war.

me, watching with a boner

>letting your pet choke every officer that triggers him
Tarkin should have kept him on a better leash

>Why did Vader take orders from Tarkin?
Vader doesn't have a rank. He has authority to act as he sees fit. If the Emperor tells him to report to a particular officer, he will accept that officer's commands.

If someone tries pulling rank on him over flagrant reasons, he will choke them to death and face no consequences.

As if they give a fuck

They were old drinking buddies who liked blowing shit up and hated rebels, Vader probably enjoyed doing Tarkin's whim more than the Emperor's.

People knew about them but they probably thought it's nothing more then just some religious military order (like Knights Templars) that served the senate and used lightsabers in battles

True, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe he just didn't know, or didn't believe.

a shit load of clones and battle droids saw them

they didn't record them in battles and clones kept to themselves

he made friends with tarkin in that one episode of the cg cartoon where he saved him.

does tarkin interact with anakin pre vader? does he know?

He figured it out very quickly after Vader first showed up on the scene.

Because he was a good friend.

>tfw you'll never see a buddy movie with Vader and Tarkin hunting Jedi and trading bantz

There's a novel with Vader and Tarkin hanging out and hunting rebels that stole the latter's special ship. It's not as fun as all that sounds.

Vader was done with him anyway, and he could sense that Tarkin just wanted to get some work done.

>does tarkin interact with anakin

There's Clone Wars episode where Anakin was send to save Tarkin from Separatists' prison

>they didn't record them in battles and clones kept to themselves

And the republic would want to hide their flashiest and most propaganda-friendly warriors why? And that "but they were recluses" excuse is shit. They were republican army generals, a very public position in a time of war. And no, they were not camera-shy, see pic related. Any conflict like that is also gonna constantly be on the news. Hell, even before the wars anakin, a a space redneck child from planet buttfuck knew what a jedi and a lightsaber were.

Darth Vader is a shitter, Tarkin and the guys with the funny hats in Sheev's inner circle outrank him.

The suited guy was too confident in the death star.

He was letting the fleet get trounced. The only guy who made sense in the scene was Tarkin and the guy arguing on behalf of the navy about the real problems they were facing.

wait, what does he actually say here? I feel like the conversation makes sense because she's a lying cunt and then he calls her on it but i dont think thats the original dialog.

The Jedi

They saw each other as equals and respected each other as well as going all the way back to knowing each other in the clone wars, bottom line they were friends

This is literally the dialog up until the last Vader line which is "YOU ARE PART OF THE REBEL ALLIANCE, AND A TRAITOR. TAKE HER AWAY!"
R1 really dropped the ball writing in the setup for these lines, wew

Something about Vader still having a single good friend in all his misery makes me happy.

And then the fucking rebel SCUM killed him.
