not listening to an album because its popular

...

this is pretty good EDM to be honest

This is the superior album. Still love the first half of Resistance tho.

You can like things everybody else likes user, it's OK.

when i was a child i didn't understand why the fuck noodles has a goatee on this cover art. it took years to understand it's just a strand of hair.

This is god tier 10/10 normiecore. You literally can't beat this album.

bad
good

i knew a guy who looks exactly like the guy on the top right, im pretty sure he was an genuine sociopath

you're a faggot

...

(that is the joke I was making, i think this thread is embarrassing because it implies you shouldn't usually admit to listening to popular music)

What about comps?

as popular as this album is/was, not many people actually listen to this

>it implies you shouldn't usually admit to listening to popular music
That's because the vast majority of popular music is festering garbage with absolutely no artistic value, with some notable exceptions like

What about every cake album as normie?
Popular idek

early 90s normiecore
youtube.com/watch?v=2CQLAhNlbfQ

...

Also I can't believe I forgot
Hybrid theory from linkin park.
Some incubus CD the one with pardon me while burst into flames
Many RHCP
Fuckin Dave Matthews
Jack off Jill etc

>early 90s normiecore
Nirvana honestly had some pretty good songs

Oh man you just brought back some memories for me user. I used to drive around listening to this album back in my college days.

same here

early albums are better, but this was his last good one before he changed his style completely

this one i mean

...

It was a good driving album.

I struggle to listen to this album anymore to many wierd memories

Watch Out! is a million times better.

>fat bitch singing fake plastic "soul" music
hello there reddit

kek this reminds me when I was like 15 and was on a "Chill Music" craze. Pogo, Pretty Lights, man it takes me back.

this is trash tho

Ive got plenty of other good driving albums on par with it if you want a few recs
nothing really beats this song though
youtube.com/watch?v=jmGbgMPb408

my favourite driving music
youtube.com/watch?v=HTTkVE6KAKo

I went through a chill music phase back when I was a stoner. Most of that music is trash but it was fun at the time.

pogo yeah, i still listen to this album sometimes

...

out of curiosity I went back into Spotify just to see what it looks like and it's shit.

I always liked the last one. It was such a powerful closing track.
youtube.com/watch?v=cTjF2_-bneM

there's some great stuff if you know where to look, no reason to put it all down but yeah there's a lot of fucking trash

Pogo made some good shit.

OH MY FUCKING GOD THAT WAS ALL I LISTENED TO IN MIDDLE SHOOL. This and Glitch Mob.

I really tried to word it so people didn't think that was what I meant but ok user

I just wanted a thread to talk about popular music without people foaming at the mouth about redditcore and contrarians

Yeah I was talking about the trashy chill pop like XXYYXX and Toro y Moi and stuff like that.
But there is some good chill music like this.
youtube.com/watch?v=-qQw3tE2CuQ

Good shit

>missing the point of the entire thread
have you ever heard of the phrase 'guilty pleasure'?

...

...

no

This albums's fucking beautiful. Easily one of the best downtempo albums ever.

I like his earlier stuff but Amon Tobin was working in a similar style at the time and did it a lot better.

Black Sands is where he really found an organic sound that set him apart from the whole instrumental hip hop / Ninja Tune crowd.

no

>Amon Tobin was working in a similar style at the time and did it a lot better.
He went by a different name on this album but it was really good.

Great albums, but how are they normie?

Meant to reply to

...

i wouldn't exactly call this normie.
the only time i've heard this in public was at a dive bar.

"Alternative" Chads and Stacies love this album.

unnapologetically

...

hell yea

these are good too

soyboys fuck off

I enjoy these

>soyboys fuck off
>responds to a Chad™ album

...

It's not even the best 21 pilots album although Message Man, Judge, Goner and We don't believe what's on TV are really good imo
foster the people gets a lot of bad reputation on Sup Forums, great album.
I would have posted this without you lol
I feel like this album is a bit underrated since he throws shade at Kanye. It is mediocre but not unlistenable garbage.

*she

I loved this album in high school, never got invested to listen past it though

I like their whole discog but this one’s the best. Haven’t seen mentioned on Sup Forums

This is their magnum opus and the only work above a 3/5.
Evolve was terrible.

...

...

...

agreed
i've had a soft spot for crystal castles since i found them at 13 or so but their debut album isn't their best
