If you knowingly continue to sin then you are not repentant. When you are truly repentant and try to live a sin free life, then virtue is a side effect of this. Virtue is the result and the reward for being repentant and trying to live without sin, it's not something you are rewarded for.

I see where people get that idea, but I don't think that really follows. If a blind person gets a prosthetic eye, is that a claim that God screwed up? If a person with schizophrenia takes medication to control their symptoms, that doesn't mean God fucked up. God gave me the spirit of a woman and the body of a man. My best advice would be to start praying everyday. Start your day with the Lords Prayer. Talk to god like you would a respected older member of your family and and listen as hard as you can because he will speak to you in you heart.
