It's quite the emotional roller-coaster.
I feel nothing but pity for the millions of German conscripts who died for Hitler's boundless and senseless warlust. That pity does not extend to the upper echelons of the NSDAP, and the bloodthirsty hounds within the ranks who blindly worshiped them. Those cretins deserved nothing but death.
I'm amazed that people can worship men who oppressed their people, slaughtered others, and turned the rivers of Europe red with the blood of women and children.
The time for action is now and always. Whether through influencing our inner circle to how we spend our time and money. Stalin was already building up it's military to invade Europe himself. Without Germany's first strike the Russians would have bulldozed Europe a year later.
To be fair, he almost took Moscow. He was beating the Soviets back with relative ease for the first part of the war. The Winter delayed him and the Allies were moving in from the West. Had it not been for FDR's Lend-Lease Act, which provided aid to the Soviets, Hitler could have wrapped up the war quickly. He wasn't expecting the USA's intervention.

This is exactly my point. Russian winter is fucking brutal, and it's an enormous distance which makes logistics difficult. And he was already the aggressor in the war in Europe, which prompted the convenient alliance of his enemies in the West and Russia.
Yeah, but how would this have turned out if Hitler had focused on beating his enemies in Europe first? We'll never know. Plus, like says, he almost took Moscow, so the Russians weren't that formidable.

He pacified Western Europe before moving the mass of his forces into the East, again he was not expecting the USA to get involved, which really marked a turning point in the war.
Russians didn't have great soldiers, they didn't have great technology or courage or strategy like the Germans, but they had a fuckton of soldiers from Mongolia and other remote parts of the expansive Soviet Union and had orders from Stalin which either killed you or sent you and your family to the gulag if you retreated or were captured by the enemy. This in addition to the support they recieved from the US gave them the ability to repel the Germans. Once the US military officially joined the war and reinvigorated the Western Allies the German forces were split. Japan also dropped the ball by not attacking the USSR from the East, which would have split the Soviet forces and made it easier for the Germans to take Moscow and end the war.
