i'm joking. the possible denver package for irving that was rumored/imagined had shooters. beverley is actually a fine enough shooter and i'd love to see irving on the clippers but they don't have a 2018 lottery pick for cleveland. mirotic is unsigned so far; irving and shumpert for lavine, zipser, s&t mirotic and the bulls 1st?

I'll be there

nbag dunk contest when?

Legit question: If the Cavs knew how serious IT's injury was, why would they trade Kyrie in a package that doesn't involve a starting PG?

Celtics were trying to fool an inexperienced GM who didn't know that you can't trust Ainge.

I don't like that Bulls deal but that's in large part because I'm really low on Lavine (I think he's going to be a really good sixth man scorer off the bench type but I'm not sure he's more than that)

That said, if the Celtics trade falls through, there's still plenty of offers out there for Cleveland. Kyrie is still a 25-year-old All-Star who's getting traded for reasons unrelated to his basketball ability. The thing that made Boston's offer so good is that it managed to keep them competitive this year while also building for the long term. But if Isaiah's hip actually is worse than is reported, then obviously the deal is much worse for them in the near-term than we initially thought, which brings the other deals that are out there a lot closer. I think Phoenix is most likely - they can give a lot of value if Cleveland doesn't insist on getting Josh Jackson back. I think the 2018 Phoenix pick, 2018 Miami pick, Bledsoe, and maybe another role player gets it done easily and I think Phoenix would do that. Denver could make something happen too, and a Kyrie - Jokic team up could be an amazingly fun thing to watch.

I still think the most likely thing is that the Celtics will give up another first rounder, or a couple seconds and a young player who is not Smart, Brown, Tatum, or Ojeleye, or something like that. And I think the Celtics would be incredibly stupid not to give up a package like that to make the deal work. But maybe they're going to dig their heels in. I don't know.

original Russell x PG picture is the cutest thing tbqh

Gay, bi or London?

well it's a very fluid and exciting situation. i'm having fun with it.

i like the suns ideas the most too, makes the most sense to me. bledsoe feels like a good fit on the cavs team, and the suns are probably the team that'd make the shortest leap with kyrie, so their own first-round pick should remain at least close to the top 5 next draft and thus valuable. kyrie on the nuggets makes them a playoff team more likely than not.

A lineup built around Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker, and TJ Warren would be soooooooooooooo bad defensively but it would be sooooooooo fun to watch

Sup Forums told me Pooprie is the best pg in the league if he can't carry the celtics to the finals he's a fraud.

>Pooprie
haha nice

I actually think the Nuggets make the playoffs even without Kyrie so I agree with you there. I like them a lot for that 8th seed right now.

Well, he will so... Yeah.

>Getting click baited into giving up assets

Enjoy L.A. Lelbron

desu i hope the denver keep their guys together. they have a nice young core (jokic, murray, harris, possibly also hernangomez, beasley, lyles) and good vets, to whom they added millsap. good coach, solid culture. not too hot about mudiay. they can grow organically into something and maybe be ready whenever the dubs start to fall apart.

If LeBron goes to LA he's ending his legacy as a failure and the most overrated player ever after talking a whole bunch of shit and trying to be better than MJ. He's not winning there at all, would just go there to retire, live in luxury, and be focused on outside business more than basketball. Would be a huge white flag to show he's a quitter. LeBron is not that much of a coward. He'll go to a team that already has 1 or 2 all stars and good cap situation with tradeable or complementary roleplayers, preferably young so they fetch more return in a trade. Just like he did when he went back to Cleveland.

Whoever goes to the /nba/ meetup I hope someone shoots all of you faggots

They have a lot of great pieces but it doesn't quite fit together yet I don't think. Murray and Harris play the same position, it's not clear they have anyone who's a real primary ballhandler, low on small forwards, a bunch of little stuff like that. The pieces are good and Jokic is so fucking good that you would think they'll eventually figure it out. You have to think Harris is getting dealt.

Also, Mudiay is trash.

yeah you're probably right. murray at point guard looks like a solid stopgap solution but it's still an awkward fit to some degree. but they have time, they don't have to solve this right away.

and i hope they can reclaim lyles too. he looked promising in utah before hitting some wall hard.

t. Angry clips

Fat Miley Cyrus with a tan has never looked this good.

i wish i had some clips to unload on you faggots that's for sure, but i'm not gonna go all the way from texas to faggot ass cali with their pussy gun laws.

>i wish i had some clips to unload on you faggots that's for sure, but i'm not gonna go all the way from texas to faggot ass cali with their pussy gun laws.

also, you'd need a boat to make the trip

...

Or you know. A plane.

>the /nba/ meetup is actually a secret purge to get rid of the most rabid shitposters
not a bad idea desu i approve

What did they mean by this?

>Danny Ainge to Koby Altman to "go **** yourself" when Altman asked for additional assets from the Celtics

Based

Source on this

Just received the 2017/2018 NBA official script book. The idea this year will be to frame LeBron as the all-time great riddled with strife. His protege left him (the Celtics trade will go through in the end) and Cleveland is in shambles. LeBron will be injured for most of the first half of the season until DeMarcus is traded for the Nets pick.

Cleveland will then finish after the all star break 40-2 and LeBron will claim MVP. The finals will be brought to 7 games but DeMarcus will be suspended for the final game. 'Payback' for 2016 is how it will be framed but really it is just the prelude for the dissolution of the Cavs. Thomas, DeMarcus and LeBron all will leave next summer. DeMarcus to LA, Thomas to the Wolves, and LeBron to OKC. The LeBron-to-OKC drama will unfold after 'tension' with Durant and the Warriors and rumors that Durant wants back in to OKC after OKC made it to the WCF.

LeBron is stealing Durant's proverbial home, which will be the storyline for the 2018-2019 season.

Any questions?

>The finals will be brought to 7 games but DeMarcus will be suspended for the final game
who won?

yeah, two questions

1) are you from oklahoma
2) did you have an erection while writing this

>Any questions?

At what age did you find out you have autism?

>Any questions?
If there were two guys on the moon and one killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?

hinks i hope you're using a closed shell system behind 3-5 proxies or else silver is gonna go after your ass

The Warriors
I'm sorry if you're jealous of my insider access but you shouldn't be. It was an early career choice, and if you wanted the same career, you probably could have it.

The NBA uses macro-psychological profiles to target certain regions with their storylines. Right now, the LeBron storyline is convoluted because it is suppose to be a flyover vs. costal elite battle against the Warriors but LeBron's identity is too much of the 'coastal elite'.

The Oklahoma match is a compromise, because of the tension between LeBron and Durant. Durant's masochism makes him perfect to fill the 'coastal elite' roll (he hates himself).

The Rockets will win the majority of their nationally televised games.

Spurs will go out in the second round to the Rockets. They won't be hyped this year, we're delaying Kawhi's 'MVP' year for when he can battle LeBron in the WCF.

I do think, with the Solomon Hill injury, that Boogie and possibly AD getting traded this year is in play for real

that roster gets real, real ugly once you get past Jrue, Boogie, and AD. their rotation now consists of Rajon Rondeaux, Jordan Crawford, Quincy Pondexter, Alexis Ajinca, E'Twaun Moore, Darius Miller, and Ian Clark. I mean.... jesus fucking christ that is a bad roster. That is brutal.

>Spurs will go out in the second round to the Rockets.
Well, first time for everything, I suppose.

this is literally NBA fanfiction

>Spurs will go out in the second round to the Rockets
But I thought the WCF was going to be OKC/GSW?

like even if you're making something up, you gotta be able to come up with something more plausible than Lebron to OKC

No wonder all the other generals make fun of us, 95% of people in here have some sort of mental disorder.

Oh please /hoc/, /nfl/, /mlb/, and the numerous soccer generals have no business here

Hahahahahhaha Texans trying talk shit a hurricane is purging all you hicks

...

wtf the rams lost to teh chargers lmao that means they are losers, men

Free Tobias Harris

Pbu

>tfw sold one of my extra chargers jerseys on Craigslist and didnt get stabbed

Today was a god dream

>Cleveland Cavaliers to ask Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum as added compensation due to IT's hip. (Via ESPN)

So who do the Cavs trade Kyrie to now?

>Ben Simmons CLEARED for 5-on-5, Joel Embiid still NOT cleared

Joel Embiid isn't the next Greg Oden they said

>actually asking for the next MJ and Paul Pierce
HAHAHAHAHAHA
the cavs are retarded.

tfw wouldnt mind going to a meetup to talk about my main cuteboi russell bestbrook

Phoenix, if the trade actually fails.

but also this is probably a negotiating tactic for Cleveland the same way the BOSTON WILL NEVER NEGOTIATE stuff was for Boston. so when they agree on doing a first rounder and Terry Rozier, or whatever it ends up being, everyone can come out and say that they got something out of it.

>Get hired as GM
>Star player demands a trade
>Get a great haul
>Try and extort team that made great haul for even more
>Get a bad reputation
>GMs never make deals with you anymore

Lmao @ Kobe atman

No fucking way they aren't actually asking that are they?

What the hell is Cleveland doing?

You know all of Sup Forums hates this general right Larry? I know your delusional faggot minions in your LGBTLD suck you off constantly but take a step back into reality.

>Lebron dunks
nice
youtube.com/watch?v=ZSxXikat_pU

Can't wait for Kyrie to cross him over and expose the shit out of him.

okc really does have the cutest dudes

cant wait for lebron to slap kyries butt for doing a good job on that crossover
heck yeah

>the next Paul Pierce

thats the one that bothers you???
not the "next MJ"

the next mj, the next kobe is a common thing fans say.

what does the next Paul Pierce even mean? he's nowhere near that type of status.

that's like a fan in 20 years saying that some pg is the next Kemba Walker lmao

Actually Tatum is extremely similar to Pierce in play style, and Danny Ainge and Celtics brass have literally, explicitly compared him to Pierce and was a big reason why they went after him, even before the draft there were a lot of comps about him as Paul Pierce.

That's actually legitimate.

The MJ one is the meme.
>books nigga
>anywhere in MJ's stratosphere

Source?

Woj. Bleacher report just ran a story on it.

Not from a tweet, but rather an ESPN story.

>Comparing kemba fucking walker to the truth
(You)

Looks like LeGM is overstretching.

Wyc should just go public and veto the trade.

>Danny Ainge, Pagliuca and Wyc hold a public presser

>Danny Ainge specifically says that no one should ever trade with the Cavs ever under Altman's reign
>Wyc and Pagliuca veto the trade by burning a Isaiah Thomas cavs jersey

Pierce is a Hall of Famer, my dude

for sure Paul Pierce is a YUGE all time great my guy, 100% on the level of mj my man for sure

*ignore you*

...

for SURE Paul "le truth" Pierce is an all time great my man, for SUUUUUURE

>Cleveland being this greedy

I hope they cancel the trade desu. Jew GMs are cancer

>Celtics doctor may believe IT will only miss a month. Cavs hip specialist may be saying it could be entire season ...

lmao he has ainge by the balls, IT and Crowder will be CANCER

Which is funny because the Celtics usually overstate their injuries.

Wonder who is actually telling the truth here.

Not really. If ainge says no they wont find a better trade and then theyll go from the best outcome to the shittiest outcome in a matter of a week

Crowder is literally a non-issue.
The IT being cancer thing could be a problem though, but why would cleveland give up the best offer possible on that small contingency?

It could be that they just... disagree.

But I tend to believe the Cavs a little more, for two reasons. First, it's a hip injury, which is something that absolutely has a possibility to fuck a player up in a major way that takes a really long time to recover from. Second, it feels like after the trade was initially announced, there was a lot of dark hinting from Boston people (front office, media people, Bill Simmons) that they were really really worried about his hip. Which is a reasonable thing to be worried about but it does cause you to question: how certain were they that it would only be a month?

Meant to reply to

But Boston would also go from the best outcome for them to the shittiest outcome for them.

Avoiding that is worth more than a draft pick.

I wasn't being rhetorical with my second statement by the way. I was seriously saying I wonder who is actually telling the truth.

And the difference between "out for a month" versus "out for the season" is too different to just be a disagreement, someone is stretching the truth. Question is: who?

They aren't dealing AD. Nola's roster has been fucking terrible for a long time.

Pels problem is they tank, get one great player, get dragged to mediocrity, they leave, repeat. Their front office is incapable of building supporting roster from fringe prospects. Contrast with the Texas triangle teams which are able to continually become respectable despite shit picks year after year.

he already lost out on butler and pg13, he has to get kyrie or this off-season has been a huge loss.

>And the difference between "out for a month" versus "out for the season" is too different to just be a disagreement, someone is stretching the truth. Question is: who?

It could be that Cleveland thinks he'll need surgery (which IIRC takes something like 6-9 months to recover from) whereas Boston thinks that he doesn't need surgery & that resting it will be enough

The Cavs can find a trade on par that includes a respectable healthy PG, which is what they need and was key to the deal.

I can legit see them vetoing the trade.

Just throw in an extra pick and be done with it

> he has to get kyrie or this off-season has been a huge loss.
He got Hayward and basically flipped the entire fucking team.

In what way would this off-season be a huge loss lmao

If they don't get Kyrie, they're suddenly in a position where they've basically just replaced Isaiah Thomas with Gordon Hayward, while also losing Avery Bradley and getting Jae Crowder to hate them. Because IT is done for them. So if they don't get Kyrie, their best player is Gordon Hayward and their second best player is Horford going into the season.

1- hayward is trash, you racist connecucks are gonna get so btfo.
2- he lost bradley who helps the no defence pg
3- alfraudford is still there

Before
>Cavs fleeced Ainge!! celshits BTFO! e-enjoy ur shitty iso hog!!
After
>I-its not fair! Hes injured! Nobody knew he was injured!
>Its totally fair to add tatum to the trade.
>W-we can move him again easily! W-we'll get an even better trade! S-surely someone will trade with da land s-soon....

Delusional cavs fans in currently in never ending damage control status

lmao they literally never give up, almost as sad as lelker fishies

bro you're STILL here??? go to bed

usa-kun are you seeing this shit? hahaha
