why are there electric basses, and they're in every band
and there's electric violins, which are less common but definitely a thing, especially in folkier or experimental music
but electric cellos are the "literally who" of instruments, why are solid body electric cellos not a thing, even "cello guitars" that are just restrung electric basses
i definitely could've put more instruments but i couldn't be bothered putting bass/baritone/tenor/alto/soprano versions of all the band instruments

My older brother played trombone from 6th grade all through through his 5th year of college. Dropped it after he graduated though, he only liked playing in large ensembles, no solo/small combo stuff. I played trumpet through school and I still play occasionally, it's just hard to practice brass instruments in urban apartments and mutes just aren't the same as cutting loose.
