When people saw this for the first time, did they knew the kid was darth vader?
I bet 99% of viewers had no clue.

Yes, literally everyone knew.
t. person born in the 1980s.
Fuck, Vader's shadow was on the promotional materials.
>Episode I was 18 years ago
damn now I feel old
also everybody knew
>>Episode I was 18 years ago
WHAT!!!
NO THIS CAN'T BE!
>Fuck, Vader's shadow was on the promotional materials.
this. don't be a retard OP
Fans all knew.
Movie critics were clueless about Anakin and about Palpatine.
I didn't knew Anakin was Darth Vader until I saw episode III.
Because my first Star Wars movie was episode 3. I'm 27.
...
it was though
t. oldfag
I watch episode one before the originals and I was aware that kid was Vader
>diet coke
every time
They didn't keep it a secret. One of the selling points was that it was going to be about Vader before he became Vader.
how can you not know this when it's blatantly obvious in the posters?
KEEEEEK LMAO LE 80S KID XDDD WE DID IT REDDIT XXXXDDD
He's saying the same thing as you, retard.
why the fuck is luke skywalker so young. fuck this movie.
fans knew, yes. but you need to keep in mind that most people who go to these films don't really care about the story, so i'm sure many didn't know
as a kid, i was aware that he was darth vader, but i didn't know about palpatine until ep2
everybody i knew had no idea that palpatine became emperor and that padme was luke and leia's mom
Knowing nothing about the movies. All I cared about was Blue Lightsaber guy, Green Lightsaber guy and Red lightsaber guy. I got bored watching some parts of it.
When I did watch it fully as a teenager, I thought the concept was neat.
Uh... how come you weren't a teenager when it came out? Are you underage?
Why did Padme removed all her makeup and stopped talking like an autist in part II?
>1999
>2016
>17 years
its almost impossible for him to be underage.
Did everyone know Palpatine was the Emperor?
They knew Darth Sidious was the Emperor. The question is if they knew Palpatine was Darth Sidious.
I know my dad had no clue, then again he hadnt seen any Star Wars movie in over a decade
Are you genuinely retarded?
yes, because the emperor was called emperor palpatine
Never said in the movies, people (not nerds) only knew him as The Emperor
a lot of merchandise was labeled as such
Actually this is not true. The emperor was called Palpatine in the ROTJ novelization as well as action figures and comics and video games etc.
If you look through the archives of theforce.net forum (to 1999) you will see that despite darth sidious obviously being the emperor there was actually a huge debate about whether he was a separate character (Palpatine was obviously the emperor)
