What went wrong?

What went wrong?

Nothing, like each previous season, 3 had some very good episodes, and some just so-so.

Nothing, amazing series.

not a damn thing

That Christmas episode blew my mind

Everything Netflix touches turns to shit.

not to mention the required god-awful episode, man against fire.

>you will never give BDH the BBC

;_;

it would have been 10/10 if they didnt make that shitty story with the woman trapped in the egg in the middle if the episode

indisputable official Black Mirror episode power rankings:
1. 15 Million Merits - s1e2

6. White Bear - s2e2
7. Be Right Back - s2e1
8. Playtest - s2e2

10. Nosedive - s3e1
11. Waldo Moment - s2e3
12. Hated in the Nation - s2e6
13. Men Against Fire - s2e5

but that was great

They had to set up the brain scanning technology

it was important, the rest wouldn't have made much sense without it

fuck, 12 and 13 are both in season 3, obvs

no it wasnt m8, almost dropped it because it was too dense

unnecesary if you ask me

wut, it wouldnt have affected anything in the story

Americanisation

The concept of a digital copy and its moral ambiguity re: sentience was poignant in present day and near future and a forerunner of San Jun

>15 million merits
>a black man playing virtual videogames

you have to be above 18 to post here, kid

the only reason the ending had any effect is because you understood the egg tech from that story

SJW show. Lesbians should've died terribly but noooo let's pander to an extremely small minority to appear progressive.

Instead of pandering to the "lesbians should have died terribly" crowd. You should write speculative sci-fi mane.

GOD TIER
The National Anthem, 15 Million Merits, Be Right Back

HIGH TIER
Playtest, The Entire History of You, Shut Up and Dance

MID TIER
Nosedive, San Junipero, Hated in the Nation

LOW TIER
White Bear, The Waldo Moment

SHIT TIER
Men Against Fire, White Christmas

Nothing

What if it was a white guy playing video games?

It became popular and now you hate it.

The lesbian episode was supremely comfy, especially in amongst all those secondhand cringey poor-man's twilight zone twist ending episodes. It was a breath of fresh air and one of the highpoints of the series.

>People who think Men Against Fire and The Waldo Moment are bad episodes but like San Junipero and Nosedive

Be Right Back is probably the most generic episode and the Waldo Moment is arguably the worst episode. Otherwise good list.

can you give a proper critique without buzzwords?

BDH was great in Nosedive but the episode itself was awful desu
So heavy-handed and cringeworthy how do you people watch that goddamn thing

What was cringy about it?

Oh, I agree. I don't really care how good the show was. I only watched for BDH.

>national anthem God teir
>white bear low teir
>white Christmas last

Wew lawd!

You have shit taste if shut up and dance, white bear a history or you and playtest are not in your top 5

Maybe cringe isn't the right word desu
The wedding scene was super uncomfortable but ofc that was kind of the point
I felt like the scene at the end in the jail was really overdramatic but it felt like a good note to end the episode on

desu anyone who says White Bear didn't fuck them up the first time they saw it either had it spoiled or are lying

Thinking of checking this show out based purely on the recommendation of a friend. What should I expect? I know nothing about it.

I think The National Anthem is really underappreciated. Maybe it's just because it really appealed to my sense of humor but the way they make it so realistic and how it feels like this could actually happen in real life is amazing.

Fag

It wasn't funny though. It was disgusting. I felt sick watching it.

How were you not expecting a twist?

That's the point

I was expecting a twist. I was definitely not expecting anything close to what the twist actually was.

dont bother, its sjw crap.

Mostly depressing episodes but they are all thought provoking (which is why people on here call it a Reddit show)

Considering starting this tonight. If I want to get a good taste for the series overall, should I skip the first episode?

>30-70 IQ alt right contrarians on the worst board on the internet dislike something
>that means something "went wrong" with it

you belong in a straitjacket

It turned to shit when the yanks started getting involved.

Nah The National Anthem is pretty damn good despite what people here say.

It won't really give you a feel for the show though, 15 Million Merits is a good introduction and watching them out of order doesn't matter in the slightest.

If you want to get a feel of what the show is about I would watch s1ep3. It's also one of the best episodes for sure.

It really is a good series and the less you know about it the better. 1st episode is decent but pales in comparison to the really good ones.

Thanks, good to know.

Thanks. I don't know much. Do you agree that 1x03 is a "really good one," that I could watch out of order? I'm home for winter break so watching with my mom.

OBJECTIVE POWER RANKINGS:

1. White Christmas
2. Entire History of You
3. 15 Million Merits
4. Shut up and Dance
5. Be Right Back
6. San Junipero
7. National Anthem
8. White Bear
9. Playtest
10. Nosedive
11. Men Against Fire
12. Hated in the Nation
13. Waldo Moment

ANYTHING ELSE IS INCORRECT PLEB SHIT

Can someone please explain why everyone is going crazy for San Junipero?

I thought it was rubbish.

started watching this although I think I fucked up
>click on black mirror on netflix
>started watching
>half way through the season i realise that it started me on S3 instead of S1

The National Anthem is essential Black Mirror and must never be avoided!

Comfy story. Subtle reveal. The ending sparks existential inquiry. It's a solid mid-tier episode.

Eh, it's not a big deal. You miss like one reference really. Just finish up S3 and then move to S1.

1x03 is the weakest episode of season 1.

i think user is trolling you.

it's good but doesn't have the bite of 101 and 102.

It doesn't matter what order you watch it in.

The world building I guess?

Like the start of S3, everything is about technology and what it can do in the near future.

At the start of the episode, it's set in the 1970s/80s with very little to do with technology. You don't find out what's going on or happening until halfway through. Then you realise everything is a simulation.

Also people love sexy lesbians.

>White Christmas
>Shit

wait a sec are u tryna rustle my jimmies again??

Dude, that so like black mirror.

imo

White Bear would be #1 but it suffers from being too twist-reliant, not much rewatch value. EHoY only grows in the rewatching. SUaD suffers a little from never quite escaping the shadow of White Bear.

best list desu

hated in the nation is too low

white bear wasn't that good imo

most accurate here

Why does everyone hate Men Against Fire so much? The girl was annoying but everything from the raid on the apartments onwards was pretty unbelievable.

Also the end sort of puts a damper on Shut Up And Dance imo

HAHAHA holy shit I completely forgot about this.

It was trope city. There wasn't any subtlety to the message or the characters or anything.

Horrible

1. Entire History of You
2. National Anthem
3. White Christmas
4. Shut up and Dance
5. Be Right Back
6. 15 Million Merits
7. Hated in the Nation
8. Playtest
9. Nosedive
10. White Bear
11. Waldo Moment
12. Men Against Fire
13. San Junipero

DUDE WHAT IF

LIKE

HEAR ME OUT

WAR IS WRONG?? WHAT IF WE ARE THE ENEMY????

San Junipero is just some SJW lesbian porn. Only people who like it are those too scared to watch real porn or those who think "diversity" makes a show better.

It's been 3 months and I still don't understand the appeal of San Redditero.

>dude i hate women lmao

you are the exact same as an SJW

Elaborate

there was no agenda pushing in San Junipero, it was just about a lesbian couple. Don't be so sensitive

Something is fishy here...

What's the message here? I agree wholeheartedly with that, yet the pic indicates if you think this you're really just a hipster faggot?

>What went wrong?
Americans touched it

audience is literally cucks

EXCUSE ME?!?! Reverse cucking ISN'T A THING!!! RRREEEEEEEEEEEEE
That woman did make for a great pornstar though

>cucked by robot clone

Can you really be cucked by a clone of yourself if you are already dead?

Also, how do I get a job as Hayley Atwell's sex robot?

>forced
How?

that's the thing, new cuck fetishes

Nothing
Except for Fifteen Million Merits, what a shit episode

My nigga. Not perfect but basically correct. White xmas was fucking shite. White bear was high tier though.

1. Shut up and Dance
2. Entire History of You
3. San Junipero
4. Be Right Back
5. National Anthem
6. White Christmas
7. The Waldo Moment
8. Nosedive
9. Hated in the Nation
10. White Bear
11. Men Against Fire
12. Fifteen Million Merits
13. Playtest

>tfw season 3 was just not black mirror.
Every episode from that season seemed like a cancelled or canned pilot/movie treatment.
San Junipero being the most overrated episode.
Season 3 was SJW appropiation.

>Liking Twilight Zone for millennials

You're just feeding Charlie Brookers ego at this point. It's "dude technology is evil" written by someone who relies on technology as much as everyone else.

More like social media is evil

Close enough

why do people hate men against fire? I thought it had the best plot twist out of all the episodes

I thought that 'Shut up and Dance' was alright.
The season did have a different feel to it, though.

The plot twist was too obvious.

I don't know about you, and maybe I'm just too genre-savy, but I saw that twist coming as soon as they were raiding the cottage at the very beginning. It felt "stale" to me, but I really liked that they didn't do the usual cop-out and forced a happy ending as lesser shows would.

Nothing, it was always a mixed bag. Every season contains one or two of the best episodes and one or two of the worst.

Decent twist but it didn't have the character material or story to fill its runtime. Felt padded out and boring, by the time they were replaying his murders it just felt like they were trying really hard to shock.

jesus race mixing with niggers is being promoted by BBC too now, huh? Fucking kikes man. I will kill every nigger and every kike I swear to god.

They burned?

I liked the concept of San Junipero, but can someone explain why the black lady decided to stick around instead of passing on?

Like, she has a whole speech talking about her husband and child passing on and how she wants to do the same, then crashes her car and suddenly changes her mind? Why?
