The only one i know is the tranny that looks like reviewbrah and she sucks
you have a bad opinion
our small population aside, we don't really have a significant art culture. few people here consume high art, and students aren't encouraged to create it.
i'd call it a tragedy, but this is norm around the world. thriving art scenes reflect the confluence of a number of chance variables, and they're not all that common. if you look at the US, for example, you'll find that maybe 85% of its significant art arises from small pockets of people around the coasts and the great lakes. the rest of the country is artistically irrelevant.
Dunedin Sound is the pinnacle of indie music though.
Who, Antony Hegarty?
I don't think Antony's from NZ.
it's what happens when you give the brits good weather.
dunedins cool too bad its gonna sink into the ocean

Oh, ok
kiwi here. you're pretty much right. it sucks.
i like this album though, even if it's more a pretentious expression of teen emotions than the pinnacle of musical talent. from the same town as me and i knew some of his friends when i was in high school. it's funny to me that it got so popular.
have you heard of Jordan Rakei OP? he's someone i'd consider musically talented
I have a cassette of this guy's album because I was bored and bought it for some reason. It's kinda decent, pretty meh
