not especially but desu I have not a lot of songs from south America. What I'll say may sounds dumb but the genre are really similar to spanish ones, often guitar or fandango-ish
ty for the contributions
Some fado/jazz/pop mix made to be happy instead of sad:
youtube.com
>the genre are really similar to spanish ones, often guitar or fandango-ish
you think so?
youtube.com
that classic guitar is very pervasive on our culture but the flavor is from each region.. i dunno
>made to be happy instead of sad
failed it makes me sad for some reason, what with the ski jump things btw
>the flavor is from each region
Yes I think it emphasizes how I can distinguish different south americans culture. Classic guitares work everytimes tho

youtube.com
>failed it makes me sad for some reason, what with the ski jump things btw
The melody is still sad and fado-y, but the lyrics are often very hopeful, happy or ironic towads typical depressive fado memes.
That particular video showed a bunch of toys/games played in the 60's and 70's and the singer calls the listener to come outside and play.
This may sound happier, and she's basically moaning at how she always gets asked to sing when dining at a restaurant, and how she escapes it every time, in a sly and cheeky way:
youtube.com
I guess happy Portuguese is still about as sad as a sad European.
This is how the kind of fado they mock usually sounds (Lisbon fado), and is definitely sadder:
youtube.com
I really love this song
youtube.com
anyways i like rock

What's with Iberians(and their American colonies) and guitars?
Brazil and Portugal also have some extensive musical history with classical and local guitars (like the Portuguese guitars). Here's how we do it (Fado de Coimbra):
youtube.com
Anyone got some african beats? I only know of angolan kizomba

youtube.com
well acoustic guitars are comfy to carry around and don't need much preparation whenever there's a musical gathering
i suppose charangos, ukeleles, banjos, mandolines, etc. also came to be for that reason
youtube.com
Ukeleles were actually invented/introduced by Portuguese in Hawaii, and are basically similar to our cavaquinhos (small guitars).
But I meant to ask why does this only affect the Iberian countries. Maybe because French and Italians had the pianos instead?
but USA's blues/bluegrass has acoustic guitars too
youtube.com
if i google it there's probably lots of french and even german songs for guitar
>Maybe because French and Italians had the pianos instead?
well not sure about Italy but the germanics were more into violins AFAIK
Also electric

> Russian
The song isn't even in Russian, it's some native untermenschen """""russians""""" living on Russian territory, probably Tatar
why you mad tho
youtube.com
I'm not mad, I just don't like it when some things get mistaken for things they're not. It's like calling pepper salt.
(Although I don't like Tatars)
speaking of that, today i was told hardbass and all the cheeki breeki comes from Bulgaria, not Russia
