So, I'm teaching myself spanish, I usually listen to pink Floyd kinda progressive, trip hop and girly music. However I don't know any Spanish speaking bands like this. Any suggestions?

This is mostly rock so it might help you.
>I'm teaching myself spanish
but why?

I like Caramelos de Cianuro. I don't care what anyone thinks. They are capable of great power pop.
Amigos Invisibles are great for everyone
That's actually the kinda cheerful sound I want to avoid
Because it will be America's official language in a few decades, whitey.
...
user was meme-ing you. They were one of those bands that were kind of big the same way Good Charlotte or Simple Plan were.
I always wanted to learn a different language. I first studied Latin but the constant changes over the years and lack of real world application drew me away. Then I studied Japanese because I used to do kenpo and my teacher insisted on it. Also animus but I dont really watch animu anymore and when am I ever going to run into someone who speaks Japanese?
I will run into Spanish speaking people daily so I settled in Spanish.
I'm assuming you're not OP so I'll wait for an actual answer

Like these two for the kinda 60s vibe, will listen to more.

Podcasts, duolingo, memrise, reading Spanish poetry, trying to immerse myself into it so I don't forget things. My old latin studying helps aside a lot of the root words are extremely similar

You want REAL punk all sung in Spanish, then check out Los Crudos.

These are a Spaniard based folk, blues, punk and rock & roll band
These are an Argentinian based synthpop band

SVPER
Mexican Post Rock
Listen to Los Jaivas, they are the south american pink floyd mixed with local folk elements.
Mexican indie pop
Give a chance right now to Caifanes - vol. 1
And Maldita vecindad - el circo.
Both the first two albums that I was obsessed when I was like 10 years old.
Also try some individual songs, not all of them from Mexico though
Hombres G - Chico tienes que cuidarte
Heroes del silencio - Entre dos tierras
La ley - Prisioneros de la piel
Fobia - microbito
Moenia - manto estelar
Plastilina mosh - peligroso pop
Tijuana no - pobre de ti
Jaguares - fin
Caifanes - estás dormida
Café Tacuba - la locomotora
Aterciopelados - maligno
Ximena Sariñana - cuento
And just for fun, if you are manly enough try
this one, Miranda - don. Probably the gayest Spanish song ever.

Camila is so good
I don't know any spanish bands with those genres but I think it's safe to assume the ones that exist are trash.
Spanish speaking countries usually like Pop, or any music to dance. The rest is trash.
Luis Miguel is a pop band (like Michael Bubbleau or however it's spelled) but it has awesome lyrics, great voice, nice melody and nice music.
Check El Sol de México, dude.
