Ugh.

Nah, not even top 1000

I love Pagan Poetry too, but I don't think it quite has the wide appeal the perfect pop song would have.

It's not even a top tier Bjork tune

nah, I love Bjork, but Stereolab's "Miss Modular" is the best pop song ever

(can't find it on youtube so here's the vid on dailymotion)

It is though? It's fucking amazing.

Wouldn't even crack the list of top 10 bjork songs. Probably not even 20

I didn't say it was bad, i just said it isn't top-tier
it's 2nd-from-the-top tier

Get out of here.

I wasn't saying you said it was bad, but it's one of her best singles.

The best pop song ever is Race for the Prize by The Flaming Lips

When she goes

"BUT HE MAKES ME WANT TO HAAAAAAAND MYSEEEEEELF OVEEER"

as a synth does a creepy "aaaah" thing, the harp plays a somber melody and the female choir chants "she loves him"... oh boy

Said no one ever

That fucking swoop the backing vocals do fucking hooked me for good. Everything about that song is fucking awesome.
>I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM
Hit me like a fucking truck.

You're right, it's Hyperballad.

>listens to pagan poetry once

its okay buddy, we've all been there.

Its such a rich back catalogue. My favourite Bjork performance of an extremely comforting song:

I think Joga is her best single and where she is most successful in her project of uniting acoostic (as she would say it) instruments with some quite harsh electronic noises.

I have fond memories of dancing to some of the early tracks though so its maybe its BTS...

Play Dead also deserves a shout although it isn't really a pure Bjork track. In fact, its one of those classic songs people remember hearing but can't place, often confused with Ian Brown F.E.A.R.
>It stops the hursting
Bjork can't say "hurting".

this performance really is something else

Now we're getting closer.
She must be absolutely stunning to see live. That graffiti is uncanny.

There are people who think Hyperballad is romantic.
Its surely incredibly sad.

What's your interpretation of it

Its a fading relationship, not a bad one you can blame someone for, its just running out of steam. She is trying to persuade herself thats its OK but its getting harder and harder.

She has given several explanations for what its about though to be fair.

In this interview she explains that it's about how one sometimes has to take destructive measures to maintain a long-term romance

mommy

The boy with the thorn on his side is the best pop song ever tbqh.

Fantastic taste, but I like the flower called nowhere better
