Hey I recently listened to this for the first time and I loved the danceable side to Experimental Dance Music. Can I get reccomendations to more well produced danceable electronic music?

get into real dubstep or techno

I’ve tried Burial but I found itreally boring

look up 'gantz - dying on acid ep' or kaiju - justice. Burial is more artistic than it is fun to dance to.

Four Tet - There Is Love in You
Jon Hopkins - Immunity
pleb choices, but acclaimed for a reason

Thanks a lot I’ll try all these albums. Have a great day.

I enjoy the vaporwave influences

Pretty much my go-to whenever I need to recommend electronic music to non-electronic music listeners.

this is literally just normie dance music. only first track has a bit of vaporwave.

Thanks

Ok well then reccomend me some good ‘normie dance music’

justice, disclosure, madeon, I mean there are a lot of directions to go in. if you haven't tried electronic music yet you really need to start somewhere a little more middle of the pack than overrated fringe subgenres.

I kinda started with IDM classics and rave music but I never really explored the mainstream stuff. Thanks for the recommendations.

have you heard bran van yet, OP?

Justice - Justice
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Crystal Castles
iglooghost - neō wax bloom

I actually started listening to this a few days ago, (I’m not new or anything it’s just I’ve stuck to Post Punk and indie for the past 2ish Years) and I really like it but her voice gets on my nerves when she goes full pixie singing.

Blank banshee 1

Massive RDJ fan for a long time now and heard Neo Wax Bloom a few months ago and never really had a desire to listen again.

Justice are a band that I’ve heard a lot about so I’ll definetly check them out but I’m going to wait a while on crystal castles cause of the allegations and such.

Also ik disclosure from the radio a long, long time ago and I don’t think I’ll be listening to them anytime soon lol

There's a lot more but this is what came to mind.

Thanks a million this’ll take a while to get through. Btw I’ve heard Sissy Spacek S/T and while it was ok I wouldn’t call it danceable in the slightest so did they change styles or is that a joke you’ve hidden in there?

You can dance to it in your brain.

Mate I’d be too scared to dance

yo i was literally just about to post about this album. I love this project so much.

I would love to hear MC Ride on something produced by Blank Banshee. Something like Bathsalts.

listen to dj mixes my friend

You should check out HMLTD. They’re quite small at the moment and have only 3 singles out (one sampling death grips and another sampling them that’s currently unreleased and I won’t share) but they’re currently recording a debut album and will blow up as soon as they do.

I was them in Camden in October and it was without a doubt the best gig of my life, they had 3,000 bloody masks hanging from the walls and handed out sweets and everything.

I always thought DJ Mixes were too long (like up to 4 hours iirc) so I’ve always refrained from them but I’ll try and get around to this.

listen to the beginning of that one right now. trust me. i was where you were once

Watching a film (having a day away from talking to people I know and just hanging out in Internet forums and realised I really need to catch up on the marvel films) at the moment but I definelty will when it ends.

no problem bud. you're just getting the bug for dance music. enjoy

I feel like if you enjoy blank banshee you'd enjoy this. which also happens to be my favorite death grips album

seconding andy stott + photek. good list btw!

best normie dance song out there

on BB's recent us tour he had a countdown clock on a screen with an hour long playlist preceding his set that I'm assuming he compiled.

if anyone knows where I can find this set online I would love to hear it again. I remember it had shit like autechre and akira music in it. It was pretty great.

I’ve heard Runway H (one sampled on this m.youtube.com/watch?v=syfZU4kGiSE ) and I feel like this version is far better but I will check it out.

>Sissy Spacek
the noise band?

It's not online but I shazamed it and saved most of them on spotify.

autechre - montreal
hair cuts for men -
lapalux - 4eva
vatican vibes - fatima al qadiri
forest swords - raw language
amnesia scanner - as crust
clinton affair - midnight sun
four tet - 2017
prodigy - diesel power

there was more but that's all i got for now user
