V > IV > R1 > VI > VII > I > III > II

V > IV > R1 > VI > VII > I > III > II

critically speaking, yes. not my personal list though. my fav is still ROTJ.

Revenge Of The Sith is easily the second worst movie in the entire franchise, but the last 3 minutes are pure kino. They don't make up for the rest of the movie, but that ending is wonderful.

>prequel fags will defend this

Glad I'm not the only one who unironically thinks this is the best prequel.

yeah there's really no excuse whatsoever for having worse set backgrounds than the original Star Wars

...

kek

its the only one i went to see when they released them in 3D at the theaters some years back.

>People are legitmately defending the dumpster fire that was Rogue One simply because RLM hated it

Sad

>mfw I don't watch RLM reviews
I legitimately enjoyed it.

Finally some people here with taste.

same here.

...

Jesus it looks like a spy kids movie

V = IV > VI = R1 > I > III > VII > II

>yfw that door at the end looks like a painting
>yfw if you look closely, you can see it clip into place when the camera reaches it

I'm a prequel fag and I won't defend that.

That being said...

3> 5 > R1 > 6 > 1 > 7 > 4 > 2

VI > III > I > V > IV > VII > II > R1

I'm biased though because I love Jabba's palace and Endor.

It was the only one they released in 3D so yeah that could be the reason

>Revenge Of The Sith and The Phantom Menace are better than Empire Strikes Back
>Attack Of The Clones is better than Rogue One

>putting R1 after !!
>putting R1 at the bottom

I can live with every other choice you've made, but Jesus Christ you're so wrong it hurts.

That's actually amazing. Episode 1 is from 1999 and Spy kids is 2001, so Lucas was ahead of his time.

>putting shitquels in the top 5

That was a scene from Attack Of The Clones.

Were the prequels just a way for Lucas to test out new effects?

Like 80% of the shit in them would have looked 100 times better and would have been way cheaper if he just went with practical effects.

But if that's the case, why didn't he let someone competent write or direct it?

I haven't seen the newer Star Wars movies so I can't rank them.

VI > IV > V > I > III > II

I will never understand people ranking RotS highly.

>test out new effects
Yes.

>cheaper
No.

Practical effects require effort, and they're much more expensive.

>RotS
It's a meme. That movie is shit.

Honestly episode 3 is better than episode 6 or episode 7

Only saw Rogue One once and almost fell asleep. Hard for me to really judge it properly, but I couldn't really get into it or enjoy any of the characters.
Episodes I and III are probably only as high as they are because they remind me of when I was a happy kid.

Maybe "effect" wasn't the right word.

But I have to imagine in 1999 and the early 2000s it would have been better to just film on a set, than make a totally digital office room.

It's because RotS is a dope ass movie.

Anakin vs. Obi-Wan is still one of my favorite movie moments.

This. I fucking hate that movie. I hate it so much, but I love seeing Darth Vader and the emperor staring out the death star, and seeing Obi-Wan deliver Luke to his aunt and uncle.

What the fuck dude.

At least this guy admits that he's not a fan of the franchise.

Jesus Christ this board terrifies me sometimes.

At least OP got it right. I think I prefer TFA to Jedi but that's personal preference.

That whole saber fight was insanely drawn-out. It has no tension and was just to pad time and show off SFX.

I don't get why people like it. I guess I never will.

Unironic opinion: V>VI>R1>IV>III>VII>I>II

>shit dialog
>shit effects
>shit acting
>ruined the whole goddamn story with how/why Anakin turns
>70min shit fight scenes
>Yoda v. Sheev
>Chewbaca out of nowhere

Why do you retards defend this shit?
There is literally nothing good about it.

That fight was boring. It goes on way too long, and it makes my eyes hurt. It's so flashy.

>VII higher than anything
Your opinion isn't worth a fuck to be honest

The ONLY correct order:

Star Wars
Empire
Jedi
(clone wars animated)
Force Awakens
Revenge
Phantom
Clone Wars
Rebels

...sorry haven't seen R1 yet.

V > IV > VI > R1 > VII > III > I > II

Anyone who rates R1 above Jedi, or TFA under Sith, is fucking retarded and has absolute shit taste.

But that's wrong.

Here's the correct one.

V > IV > R1 > VI > III > I > II > VII

Btw, do we really need to see the chancellor's chamber and the egg ship falling on every SW thread? Those scenes are shit and the prequels are shit. Point is taken already.

>this trash
>better than TFA
Its unoriginal, its safe, and it's full of fan service, but Jesus Christ. It's better than the prequels. I'm convinced that nostalgia is the only reason people love these films.

oh shit, for real? lol probably then.

How long until people stop putting Rogue One over RotJ?

It also happened when TFA first aired.

kek, do you even know who you're talking to?

Movies are my life, I watch 10 movies a week, I'm a screenwriter / director, I've already made 3 well-received short films (a small achievement, but it's more than anyone else on Sup Forums can say), and I plan on becoming a legendary director by the time I'm 40 (I'll be sure to mention Sup Forums in my Palme d'Or acceptance speech).

Yeah, I think I know a LITTLE bit more about movies than you do.

I thought TFA say comfortably between the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy as soon as it came out, and I stand by that. Rogue One was actually fantastic.

>the prequels
>unoriginal

Far fucking from it. If anything, TFA is the unoriginal trash -- it's full of callbacks and is, essentially, a remake of ANH.

I'm not saying the prequels are good or great, but unoriginal is something they are not.

Oh, yeah? Well, I'm a part of what some people call the "alt-right" and it feels punk as fuck. It feels like an actual counter culture, or rebellion against the PC culture that dominates American colleges.

I was saying that TFA is unoriginal.

>that reading comprehension

The very first movie is the only good one.

It's pretty bad but it's one cherry picked scene that no one notices when watching until autists on Sup Forums started looking for a any and all subpart scenes to point to.

You have far worse and far more numerous in the OT but no one ever said anything about that because they weren't so desperate to justify their hate of those movies

Awesome scene.

The whole plot is convoluted as fuck.

>forced love dialogue
>numerous plot holes
>whiney Anakin
>CGI clusterfuck
Name one good thing about this movie.

>Unoriginal
>Saying this in defense of TFA

>Safe
>Most controversial series

>Full of fan service
>Saying this in defense of a movie that is composed of 100% fan service

>Nostalgia
>Saying this in defence of member berries the movie

Can you read?

>Shifting goalposts
>Strawman
>Red herring

You're right I misread but never the less these things make TFA the worst most inconsiquential entry in the series.

I just rewatched Attack of the Clones and I can't see anything wrong with it. Well, save for the Hayden's acting but the rest isn't too bad

OT > Nu > PT

ROTJ > ESB > ANH > TFA > TPM > ROGUE ONE > ROTS > AOTC

>most universally hated Star Wars film
>not even fans will defend it
>I can't see anything wrong with it

R1>3>1>2>5>6>4>>>>>>>TFA

V > IV > VII > I > VI > III > II > R1

Rogue One isn't even a SW movie.

>R1 isn't even a star wars movie
>Put a literal fan remake in the top 3

>others hate it so I must hate it also

Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars
Return of the Jedi

[POWER GAP]

Rogue One
The Force Awakens
The Phantom Menace
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the Clones

1. Star Wars: A New Hope
2. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
3. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
4. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
5. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
6. Star Wars: Rebels
7. Star Wars: A Phantom Menace
8. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
9. Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

>VII
>literal fan remake

fuckin this.

Forgot The Force Awakens.

Place it above Rogue One and Below TCW.

...

THIS

Empire = New Hope > Return > Force Awakens > R1 > Revenge > Phantom > Clones

If you don't think 1 is the worst you should shoot yourself in the cheek and carry the scar around as a reminder of your shit opinion, which you should discard at your earliest convenience. I mean, holy goddamn shit, it's jaw-droppingly bad. Having just watched it, I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that the inane focus on Jar Jar Binks whenever possible totally fucking ruins anything the movie has going for it. One wonders if Lucas is actually competent, the answer to that question being, "Of course he fucking isn't." Not even Liam Neeson can save the first prequel from the horror of annoying CGI.

>Force Awakens > R1

Pretty much the same here.

TFA had good character though. All rouge one has going for it is the ending action scene, and even then I don't care about the boring characters.

>TFA had good character though

Meant characters

And yeah, it did

No

True list:

V > IV > VI > VII > R1 > III > I > II

because sheevposting

VI > V > IV > III > II > I > VII > R1

V>IV>IV=VII>III>R1>I>II

There are only two and a half good star wars movies

Dumbass
VI > V > IV > III > I > II > R1 > VII
Any other list is faggot good goy shill horseshit

I've only seen I-VI. Granted the original trilogy are the pre-1997 un-neutered versions:

V>IV>VI>III>II=I
