People enjoy different aspects of things. For example, I enjoy Marvel movies as fun, lighthearted pseudocomedy movies. They're entertaining and generally enjoyable. But at the same time I see all the missed potential they have from trying to play it safe for the mainstream, and I see how goofy and dumb a lot of it is. But it's still entertaining to see those characters interact with each other and the stories are usually at least interesting enough to carry it.
It's like the film equivalent of junk food. You know that fast food is bad for you, and you know you'll feel gross after you eat it, but god damn if it doesn't scratch that itch in the part of your brain that really wants to taste something salty and greasy at that moment.
