How exactly are separatists the bad guys?

How exactly are separatists the bad guys?
They just wanted to be independant

They technically aren't. They got manipulated by Sheev to enter an all-in situation which would result in war if shit went south (it did).

They made a hostile move on a republic planet.

but if I remember correctly, it only came to war because the republic attacked one of their planets, with an army that wasn't legitimized by the senate, no less.

>bad aliens are ugly
Wow george......just wow...

You should study a little thing called the American Civil War. And you should definitely stop posting Star Wars shit.

but in star wars universe, wasn't galactic republic the one that allowed slavery?

They are the leaders of tech, banking and industry, war profiteers.

just like real life

You could consider Naboo to be the first strike.

but the republic didnt really care, lol
besides, there were like ten years between episode 1 and 2

they designed the death star

yeah but the republic didnt know it when they started the war

no but edgelords keep spouting this. Tatooine was outside the republic. Also slavery continued in the empire

>Also slavery continued in the empire
where is the proof?

Episode 6

Tatooine was not part of the Empir either

I recall it being occupied with stormtroopers in Episode 4

The politics of the prequels makes no sense. In episode 1, the trade federation attacks Naboo because of reasons... And the in episode 2, star systems are joining Dooku because of reasons!

because they were searching for the droids

Either way no slavery in Republic

>secessionism
>good
Are Americans this stupid?

>galactic civil war is based on the American civil war
>the oppressive republic crushes a group of peaceful separatists
Really makes you think

>separatists make first move by invading peaceful Naboo
>separatists kidnap 2 jedi and senator and try execute them by feeding them to exotic predators

Are Euros this cucked?

the jedi were like the globalists
palpatine was voted in so he could fuck up the commies from the inside

>ywn be the grandson of a proud Separatist freedom fighter
>ywn hear bedtime stories about his heroics in The War of Republic Aggression
>ywn drink novashine on the porch while sitting in the most comfortable chair ever designed

they were all droids so

>globalist
>empire consolidates power and governance and centralizes it more than the republic did

>the trade federation attacks Naboo because of reasons
They did it because palpatine told them too, which admittedly doesn't make any sense beyond "he's a space wizard who used his space wizard powers to convince them".
>star systems are joining Dooku because of reasons
This actually makes much more sense to me. Groups started to join the CIS because it served their interests. Succession would've been a smart gamble if the Republic hadn't stumbled upon a massive clone army shortly afterwards .

Are the Jedi the Jews of Star Wars?

CIS was an alliance of free-traders, banking cartels, and high-tech industrialists, so no.

choosing sides *rolls eyes*

Yes, but we never really get to see why the star systems want to leave the republic. I mean there is the whole space tax thing from episdoe 1, but it is not explained very well if at all.

Yeah it's not explained at all in the movies. They skip over all of the politics behind AotC and just have Dooku be the enemy.

both sides had volunteers and militias

The Republic sent in the clone army to rescue Kenobi, Anakin, and Padme from a barbaric alien species. The Separatists made the first move by throwing them into an arena with monsters.

This dude from Rogue One grew up a Separatist.

>anything in the star wars universe ever making sense

The only thing I can gather is that they were a bunch of space Jews angry over the meager attempts to somewhat curb their kikery.

this is basically like the US doing a surgical strike to kill bin laden

did we invade Pakastan? maybe?

did we violate their severity? Fuck yeah we did

Maybe so, but the this hugely important thing that the entire plot of the sith is built on is so vague, that it could be literally anybody - the Jedi, Trade Federation, The Naboo, Gungans, Palpatine... the list goes on.

>obi wan is in the wrong for investigating an area that is under the Republic before the separatists have declared their secession.
>how can you invade and violate their sovereignty if they haven't even declared it?
>proceed to try to execute him without a trial and without informing the nation of their prisoner

They were shabbos goyim for (((Sheev Palpatine)))

>How exactly are separatists the bad guys?
>They just wanted to be independant

Brit here, Fuck the Republic.

If you execute a citizen of another nation without trial you deserved to be invaded.
