in any other legal proceeding, if one party were to request the other party to provide their hard drive, they wouldn't be allowed to delete anything before handing it over. Any "sensitive" personal emails would be screened out by a neutral third party.

I've heard that in hiring people/lawyers/IT specialists to filter out the private emails, she most likely committed security clearance violations, because her lawyers & employees have no clearance for the type of emails we know have been found in the batch she did hand over.

First of all, the FBI themselves can not press charges. The only one capable of pressing charges against an individual for crimes committed in their capacity as a governmental official, is the Attorney General -- Loretty Lynch. We have reason to suspect that Lynch would not press charges against Clinton almost no matter what.
That might not matter, though, because what the FBI can do is publish an official recommendation for indictment. This would virtually be the same thing in the eyes of the public and Hillary's campaign would take an enormous blow that it probably could never recover from. The blowback might be so disastrous that Lynch is forced to indict from the public & media outrage.
Also: Obama can't pardon before a conviction. Almost no matter what, Obama will not be in office when/if Hillary is convicted. It would most likely be Trump in office with Chris Christie as Attorney General. Christie has already conceded that he would BTFO Hillary would he ever get the chance.
