WILL pedo_guro get locked up in FOLSOM prison?

really made me think....

Nah, she's great. The way of the winners, faggot

What's good, /lbg/?

link_gorro is great t.bh

Does anybody have indieflix?

What's good, /lbg/?

Answer my question furry bitchboy

No, I do not subscribe to any service named indieflix. This is a Letterboxd thread.

Thanks :)

>Movies for independent thinkers
I dunno man....

Directors influenced by Antonioni?
Directors influenced by Fellini?

Yes
Yes

niggerlovers are so cringe

Reygadas and Angelopoulos, immediately comes to mind. More so Antonioni.

You said a bad word

Thanks

Nuri Bilge Ceylan is another.

Once again more-so an Antonioni-like filmmaker. I guess Antonioni's style is a little more easily recognisable than Felini's so they're easier to come to mind.

#leavegorroalone

I've seen films from Ceylan and Reygadas but didn't really connect them back then to MA as for Angelopoulos I've seen discussions of him, should get to him and revisit the others.
About Fellini, Sorrentino is clearly a one influenced by him.

Not a director but eight and a half women is clearly a reference to Fellini and worth a look.

...

nice taste in tv-shows m8

>didn't go to lbg all last year
>revisiting and everything is in full SJW mode
JHC! When did it happen?!

>H
:)

Is China Girl (1987) worth watching? The only early Ferrara I didn't see back when I was watching all his flicks.

STALLONE IS
COBRA

>claims to have watched almost all of a director's films
>asks if remaining ones are worth watching

"Is it worth watching? XD" posters are cancer

I used to like Ferrara but I haven't seen any of his movies in more than a decade, and nothing since New Rose Hotel. Curious to see what I would think of him now.

today i will watch Lancelot du Lac, Kicks, and The Limey. maybe Throne of Blood as well.

Silly Steak everybody, he holds up a good film and then he puts it down and he plebs. Silly Steak.

Another very worthwhile goal you should try
>"Today I won't post on /lbg/"
We all eagerly await for your success

An individual who has High and Low as a favorite and gives 5/10 to Ikiru, doesn't understand neither of them

>Directors influenced by Fellini?
burton, lynch, gilliam

so
fucking
mad

you posted this in the last thread as well. do you want to explain why you believe this is true, or are you just shitposting?

Fellini influenced Kubrick. Source:

Does Silence have an intermission? Couldn't find any info on this.

Explain? Explain what you fucking mule?
It's axiomatic.

No why would it
It's not that long

Silly Steak, haha

based steakbro making embryos mad

Dude I liked Apocalypse Now so I can't dislike Jack

Is it possible to truly appreciate and understand film without ever having experienced love?

when so much of cinema (particularly art house cinema) revolves around human relationships and intimacy and desire, how can you really claim to understand it when you have no frame of reference or experience yourself?

youtube.com/watch?v=S0K63RYrlXc

i don't see why you believe appreciation of those two films is so closely tied together. just because they are thematically similar doesn't guarantee the quality of both films, yes? i disliked Ikiru because of how maudlin and manipulative it was, totally at odds with the subtlety of High and Low.

yeah thats what it says you ignoramus

Not even the best song in the film.

As with all variations of this question it depends on the film.

For what it's worth, at least you can express and defend your decisions. Don't be shamed out of having your own taste, regardless of whether it's good or bad. At least it's yours and you can define that

Jesus Christ, what's that, Facebook?

>i hateee hollywood so much my faves? everything by the criterion collection :)

Nice to see you liked L'invitation au voyage.

If you want more like this some of his other shorts ( Juste le temps, Artmatic, L'entr'aperçu & trompe l'oeil ) would fit, I haven't seen his later stuff yet though.

i wanted to talk to you
i loved l'invitation au voyage, at the end of the short it says text by JO Attie, i was intrigued by this so i looked up the name and found two articles written for the wapol magazine by an author of the same name (i still dont know if he has anything to do with the short since it could all be a coincidence)
wapol.org/ornicar/articles/jat0201.htm
wapol.org/ornicar/articles/att0121.htm
i've read a little from Ce jeu insense d'ecrire and it was interesting, wonder what you might think of them, and if this JO Attie has anything to do with cahen

for his other shorts, i think ill check out l'entreinte next, it looks promising, and ill take note of your recommendations as well

and thanks for introducing me to his work!

Apparantly the dude was a psychanalyst and a friend of cahen, I'll check the articles, thanks for bringing them to my attention

>Directors influenced by Fellini?
Sorrentino

no shit

Does anyone know where I could get this:
