>Mute is the second part of Jones' trilogy which kicked-off with Moon, and is apparently set in the same universe.

>Berlin. Forty years from today. A roiling city of immigrants, where East crashes against West.

Kek,

So, Sam Bell is in this?

>A roiling city of immigrants
>Forty years from today

why are they just standing around like they were in an 80's music video?

>Paul Rudd is in it
Say no more

He'll have a cameo I think.

Looks kino

You just KNOW the white german minority will be the bad guy and there won't be any mention of Islam

I do that. I lean on posts like this all the time.

>Putting the back of your suit on some dirty shit

fucking retard

That show's that you're rich.
You don't even need to protect this suit. It's like some any old clothes for you.

>neon everywhere is now a replacement for actual original and interesting visuals
I want the neon meme to end

maybe it's a high-tech, sci-fi suit that can't get dirty? Or maybe it's self-cleaning?

>showing you're rich in a shitty alley

i hope he gets robbed

>it's a cyberpunk = neon up the ass episode

>I don't like the aesthetic, therefore it's a meme.

neon is the seed from which kino sprouts

Trailer fookin where?

>From the director of Warcraft

Nah it's a meme because everyone and their mother has aped this aesthetic at this point. I guarantee the music will have some low effort synthwave shit for music too.

I feel like this movie will be shit.

The Meme Trilogy.

Blade Runner
Ghost in the Shell
Mute

What's with the sudden influx with CYBERPUNK ?

im tired of the neon lights meme already, its about to get shoved down our throats a ton

Don't watch it then

remakes don't count you dumbfuck. The only reason they're making remakes is because studios don't want to risk money on a new franchise and would rather remake/reboot a pre-existing one.

Great post user

> Sequel
> Adaptation
What remake?

>im tired of the neon lights meme already
?!?!? it hasnt been utilized in the past 30 years

From the director of Warcraft, comes a whole new adventure

>netix original
FEAR.jpg

not just in movies, comics vidya etc

I am pretty sure he made Warcraft just to get budget and sponsors for this movie.

he just saw a little wall-e type robot cleaning it

>yfw they pull the plug GERTY for helping Sam

anyone else thought moon was garbage?

>let's take a concept from every iconic sci fi movie ever made

No you're thinking of Oblivion

>Justin Theroux
>Alexander SkarsgÄrd
>Paul Rudd
>Possibly Sam Rockwell
>Cyberpunk sci-fi setting

I'm 110% onboard.

I really enjoyed Moon, the only thing i didnt like was how unrealistic it was.
If that was me and i met my clone i would fuck it and i KNOW im not the only one

upvoted

>Netflix Original

Nope

yes, a 28% rotten flop will open up a lot of opportunities

as long as they keep Clint Mansell, and as long as the score is God-tier like in Moon, I'll go see it.

See this fucking terrifies me. Duncan has been trying to get this movie made for YEARS, this is his passion project. Having it on Netflix though, that INSTANTLY shits on credibility if it's a movie. Even if it's a genuinely good film like Beasts Of No Nation, it's automatically banned from getting any sort of award.

I get that he just wants to get it out there but damn.

Do you think execs give a rats ass about ratings when the money is what matters?

Oh man, can't wait for this propaganda piece.

Imagine a good cyberpunk movie, combining body horror and high-tech scenery. Cyberpunk movie should scare the vievers with it's portrayal of the future, I would give my arm and leg for a mix of Akira, Blade Runner and Tetsuo.

this guy directed this piece of kino

I'd love an Alien style movie with a cyberpunk setting

It wreaks of low budgetness.

>standing on your own two feet is too uncomfortable
>have to lean on posts instead
when will lanklets learn?

Reeks. "Wreaks" makes no sense in that sentence.

epic post my friend

Tell me more

>Imagine a good cyberpunk movie, combining body horror and high-tech scenery.
You mean Ghost in the Shell?

no one cares or thinks about your faggy anime adaptation

He said good you stupid fag

I was talking about the original

From the director of MOON

Damn, mixed feelings.
I love Moon, and Duncan seems like a good guy based on that one autist's interview.
Netflix is known for not meddling at all, giving literally zero notes to the creators.
So it has the potential to be exactly his vision, but on fucking Netflix.

Like a claustrophobic horror or something else?
(If you give me enough ideas I can come up with a screenplay to autism over)

>Moon was fantastic
>Mute has been kicking around Duncan's head for years, getting refined and focused all the time
>Netflix doesn't interfere with creators, they just throw money at them
>studios can't stop interfering with creators and fucking shit up
>but Mute is gonna suck because it's on Netlfix
Nigga what?

Even worse

>Netflix doesn't interfere with creators, they just throw money at them

This is the most positive aspect of it

For better or worse Netflix doesn't give a shit about most of their content, they just let it be as long as it fits the budget

Whatever. Thanks for the (You).

Isn't their original content budget something like $3 billion for 2017? Or am I retarded?

You are retarded.

This looks really good. Cast sounds great too. Hopefully it won't get overlooked with the Blade Runner movie coming out.

>Doctor tayne

Duncan Jones did nothing wrong and being demoted to Netflix is total bullshit, there are way hackier directors who continue to be able to stay mainstream. The Orc version of that movie was pure kino, just got dragged down hard by some of the Wing Commander tier human scenes.

>The Orc version of that movie was pure kino
stopped caring there lol

now that I can get into

Please show me all the hundreds of cyberpunk videogames.
>Deus Ex
>Shadowrun
Wow that's two, such oversaturatization

I really loved how emotionally he made us fear Gul'Dan and I especially loved how wrote the scenes where the Frostwolf Clan split apart from Gul'Dan and Durotan had to make a rebellion, and how much Garona cared for the Orc child I think it was Thrall.

I admit I only have seen the movie once so sorry I am pretty hazy on it but I really loved how the Orcs looked and they talked exactly how I imagined they should.

Between this and the new bladerunner we are getting good cyberpunk back.

>Depressed hollywood makes cyberpunk movies after trump wins. America keeps winning.

He was a clone who died.

>call it a sequel
>it's actually a spiritual successor in the same universe
excited tho

>he made us fear Gul'Dan
>fearing "HURR DURR WHY IS NOBODY OBEYING ME"
Gul'dan was a bitch in the movie who depserately wanted to be in charge. Nothing at all like the behind the scenes manipulator he should be

>Gilbert Owuor as Maksim

>tfw you escape the Moon only to land on Earth that's become an islamic hellhole

Fuck yes

I've been waiting for this for years

>Florence Kasumba as Tanya
Wait a minute

Is Africa east of Germany? I think there's something wrong with my map

>Sam Bell clones are the garbage men of Earth
>they all dance around the streets 24/7 while holding garbage cans because it's in Rockwell's contract

bamp

Cyberpunk making a comeback is fucking awesome.

Feel like Trump's gonna be like a second W Bush tho

I thought every thread with this picture I've seen today was about Bladerunner 2049.

I didn't even know about Mute.

Try opening the threads next time

Go to bed, Jon.

It's great that Netflix doesn't interfere and let's creators make their projects the way they want them made. But it still means it's on Netflix and will be viewed on a big TV at best.

I'd love to see this on a big cinema screen.

Alien is in a cyberpunk setting

It's getting a limited theatrical. I know I'm seeing this for the first time when the Nighthawk in Brooklyn plays it

...

>le kino
>muh cyberpunk
I bet you are a Sup Forumstard who watches capeshit and unironically listens to synthwave shit because DUDE LE 80s LMAO
I also bet you haven't watched a single real film in your life, and wouldn't be able to identify kino due to your videogame rotted mind.

I hope it has a vaporwave ost xD

Because it's all the rage with gamers and redditors these days.

You know ideally people don't make movies to get awards.
