I really like this album cover
I've never listened to Korn though

It's a good album as well.

They pretty much invented or at least popularized most of the sounds that quickly became generic, so it's unfair to accuse them of being typical.

Korn is pretty good, they definitely have their own sound

they gave birth to nu-metal basically
I still like their first 4 albums

Their debut succeeded where Sepultura Roots failed

Good nu metal

1. deftones

2. incubus

3. faith no more

4. system of down

5. slipknot

rage against the machine and faith no more have rap element you plen.

incubus and slipknot have a dj for a band memeber

SOAD are nu metal you faggot, they're not some special snow flake genre.

They're not fucking nu metal just because they started in the late 90s and are heavy

objectively their best song

>SOAD cant be nu metal because i like them!
What genre are they then?

>the sheer look of disgust my dad gave me when he heard me listening to this

he just didn't understand

dir en grey

They're way more punk than nu metal
Also I like nu metal

Scared the living shit out of me when I first heard it as a kid. Korn are the last popular music act to sound genuinely unsettling.

Their first few albums were ok back in the day but seem to have not aged well.

People didnt really think much about it back in the day but if a cover was released like that now, the band would be thought of as pedophile weirdos and shit out of society.

slipknots self titled goes hard
CANT GET TO CALIFORNIA WITH THOSE MARLON BRANDOS EYES

>but if a cover was released like that now, the band would be thought of as pedophile weirdos and shit out of society.

idk about that, there's been edgier covers I'm sure

so numetalcore then

They were HARDCORE AS FUCK

pic related is good. everything else is shit

Get out of here, you meme

>look at me le demo contrarian faggot

Daren and Serge are such good showmen

>Korn fags

Never thought much of them. Managed to catch them live a couple of times though at festivals and they put on a good show at the very least.

>likes Godflesh, Melvins, Helmet
>doesn't like Korn

always makes me laugh

>'typical'

They were the original.

Static X are the most underappreciated nu-metal band.

I really like all there stuff from the debut up till Untouchables, as well as the occasional song after that
I'm sure that a lot of my love for them is tied up in nostalgia for being an angsty 13 year old, but I can still enjoy them a lot. Jonathon Davis will always be one of my favourite singers

The last time they were good was when I was a teen in the 90s and Issues was new.

People shit on Korn and Slipknot all the time but they never mention this faggot.

Jonathon Davis was literally molested as a kid though

80s era White Zombie was good. His first solo album was all right at the time (1998), had a few alright tracks.

White Zombie was chill. But then it started getting really industrial and it just sounds super dated. Educated Horses is underrated and it's a pretty good straight up rock album.

I miss Nevermore and Fear Factory.
