Anyone below 6'3" really shouldn't be a heavyweight.
That's not to say

*plod towards you with a high guard and his dick in a German Shepard
Tyler Wright
Well, I should have acknowledged that it's complicated by reach.
There are some shorter black guys with insane reach like Jennings, Cunningham, Takam, etc that all have better reach than many really tall white boxers.
For boxers that are
Eli Lee
Rungvisai TKO Estrada UD Inoue KO
Wyatt Moore
what if they are wideback freaks like tyson
Jeremiah Martin
desu Usyk with the pole was better than now
Ethan Phillips
The WBC youth title taking pride of place
Xavier Cooper
mate keeps trying to get me to join his gym, but im so dissuaded because he says they insist on a very english style (high guard 1,2s back and forth) not a mister fancy pants by any means but I like a bit of fluidity in my work, being predictable is for mediocre mongos
Noah Mitchell
Mike Tyson would perform like shit in today's boxing scene. He's too short.
Carson Parker
Why do English trainers insist on this style when it's complete shit?
Jack Nguyen
disagree
maybe he wouldn't beat AJ, or Ortiz but he's give the rest trouble
wilder is slim enough that tysons bodyshots would cause him greif
Adam Edwards
What a waste.
Jack Barnes
The Brooklyn boy says size doesn't matter
Andrew Thompson
Other than Joshua I'd give him a very good chance against the current crop they're not that good, he was good at getting inside against big men he'd KO a lot of the current bums
Cameron Fisher

traditionalists I guess, just doing all the know how to do. Think I'll just join the Uni team as thats a good avenue for getting into tournaments, or the local golden gloves

Wow, what a crazy black man!

Tyson would have destroyed Joshua. Tyson was the goat heavyweight in his prime.

Memes aside Gallagher seems to be very good at taking thick but obedient young lads from Manchester/Liverpool and drilling the fundamentals. It's not like he's ever had a Naz or a Calzaghe or an AJ level natural talent work with. However he's obviously not a world class trainer.
David Hernandez
No he wasn't. Lewis would have beat him. He lost to Holyfield when he was 30 and Holyfield was older. Prime Tyson is a myth. He was a good heavyweight with good speed and movement he did far better than he should have and is all time top 10 but he came up short whenever he faced real challenges. Frank Bruno 1 is unironically one of his best wins
James Allen
I am actually from liverpool but I'm v smart so none of that for me
Dylan Long
I'd actually give Mike better odds against Joshua and Ortiz because they're not particularly mobile fighters.
I'm referring more to super tall mobile fighters like Fury and Wlad, and perhaps Wilder when he's fighting smart (which is rare).
I'm basically just saying that a tall, mobile fighter will beat a short boxers, even if the skill gap massively favors the short boxer.
Tall fighters just have to backpedal, jab, and clinch, and there's not much a shorter boxer can do about it.
Nolan Cooper
Kocaine Kalle Sauerland Eddie "The Hitman" Hearns
who else?
Brayden Gomez
Fury is 6'9 and moves very well so he'd be extremely awkward to box for someone 5'11
Jose Rodriguez
So he basically beat Joshua then.
Alexander Cooper
so much body to hit away at though
Leo Wilson
chocolate by ud principe by ud monster by ko
Adrian Barnes
Tyson isn't a CW.
But Holyfield lost a lot of his magic going up to HW.
His defence was bad. His power just average-good.
His punch output also literally dropped by 50% when he moved up. Holyfield averaged like 80-90 punches per round at 190, at HW it was just 40-45.
Unreal shot selection though
Fury is just fucking unreal when he's focused. No man should move that well at 6'9.
Joshua is far more man than Bruno.
Tyson has terrific movement and would easily manhandle Tyson up close. And Tyson wasn't exactly a very active fighter in the clinch.
Joshua is better than Bruno, Bruno folded under pressure
Sebastian Johnson
>Tyson has terrific movement and would easily manhandle Tyson up close. And Tyson wasn't exactly a very active fighter in the clinch.
Oops
Fury has terrific movement and would easily manhandle Mike up close. And Mike wasn't exactly a very active fighter in the clinch
Gavin Roberts
Right.
A 6'9" guy like Tyson Fury who can move well doesn't even have to be that good to beat someone who's ~5'10".
Logan Ortiz
Yes, pressure of the kind Joshua has never seen. He was wobbled by Whyte. Prime Tyson destroys him.
Sebastian Edwards
y do people say he shags shaggys?
Grayson Rodriguez
>He was wobbled by Whyte And Tyson was taken into deep water by Tillis.
Owen Lopez
No
Liam Johnson
Tyson would rape Joshua, Joshua's chin is very very suspect
Daniel Ross
Fury has been dropped a few times by smaller inferior fighters, and was outboxed by a fat guy called Big John
From the second Chisora fight he started to put it together, but I think some are building up this mythical unbeatable boxer that never really existed. He's always looked vulnerable.
Brandon Campbell
Yes completely suspect.
Took a full flush right hand from Wlad and got up. About as glass as Amir Khan
Josiah Watson
Spinks was twice the boxer Bruno was.
Angel Martin
niesh
Hunter Morris
Yes. Bruno isn't better than Joshua you tit. Lost to Tyson twice easily, lost to Lewis in 93 and has an L on his record to Tim Witherspoon. He was a beefed up gatekeeper
Nicholas Ortiz
Well, you have to remember to account for how there are some short boxers (almost always blacks) who have insane reach.
Cunningham, who dropped Fury, has a longer reach than Wlad, for example.
That can change the dynamics a lot.
Grayson Martin
David Price,a a prospect in Dubois and a 40 year who had not KOed anyone for 3 years put AJ on his ass. Imagine what Tyson would have done the first exchange AJ is out cold.
Ian Myers
he did well to get up but mate he took a whole 12 minutes to recover, he's lucky wlad is a safety first fighter
Wyatt Bennett
ABJ's are mentally ill

other than Wlad Tim Witherspoon would beat anyone on AJ's resume.
Nicholas Powell
Tyson would destroy AJ.

Joshua wobbled Tyson Fury in round 1 in sparring when he was a novice, so Fury must be a bum?
Caleb Edwards
>fighters don't improve >the anthony joshua of 2012 is the same anthony joshua as today
Jaxon Russell
Yes Fury was a big stiff idiot that wouldn't have defeated klitty a second time. Their first fight also will go down in history as the dullest title fight ever.
Ryan Garcia
it well known and been reported everywhere.

Tyson Fury was on roids when he fought Klitschko, Fury would have never won the rematch. Fury is a bum that got lucky
