Tries to protect peoples rights

>tries to protect peoples rights
>grass roots organization actually represents voters instead of corporate interests
>follows the constitution
>libruls hate it

oh the irony

(((libruls)))

>actually represents voters instead of corporate interests

It's a lobbying firm for American firearm manufacturers. They regularly work against legislation that would allow foreign rifles or old surplus firearms that would take away from their business.

They're still the best organization for 2nd Amendment protection, but they're not in it for you.

And?

Reminder the NRA is millions of regular Americans.

>actually represents voters instead of corporate interests
You were so close

> corporate interests

Don't they do a lot of lobbying.

Without the NRA the only thing Americans would be allowed to have are pea-shooters.

How do they not represent voters?

What other groups are there?

There are other 2a groups that actually represent the people. The NRA only steps in if it will affect the profits of the corporations that it represents. Its really a shame that the NRA was the one that became popular.

Second Amendment Foundation is another one, but there are plenty of smaller orgs.

Gosh, it's almost as if people's interests and business interests can intersect occassionaly.

>NRA life member

Do you know what lobbying is?

>not being able to buy foreign or surplus guns
>in the people's interests

NRA shill logic

"Bad guys are going to find guns anyway... so let's just sell them the best ones they can afford"

More often than that, theyre directly opposed. Its in the peoples interest to have cheap import rifles and ammunition but its not in the corporations interest so now there are none.

this

This.

Liberals also hate liberty, if you like irony.

Totally, completely intellectually inept you are.

>NRA Life Member since 1979

You are a fucking inbred.

Liberals hate the second amendment.

The other day I was reading a book at my local library about the Constitution and the author noted several times in the text that he was a Democrat.

When it came to explaining the second amendment he was so fucking biased, I couldn't believe it. He mentioned a "well regulated militia" being a controversial term, as if the founding fathers didn't specify their intentions behind the second amendment in other speeches.

Gun owners of America , thats probably the second largest.

Sure, but instead we have high quality, domestic production weapons that are extremely cheap.

So you can't buy an AK-74 for 600 bucks, a mosin for 100, or an SKS for 175 anymore? You can buy an AR-15, any number of solid deer rifles, or any number of special snowflakes and support American jobs / economy for the same price and have an arguably superior weapon with more domestic support.

To go even further, were increasingly getting domestic tooling for foreign weapons such as AK's that are made in the USA. Calibers typically made outside the US are being created here to match grade specs! It's amazing.

Hell, soon we will be able to get reproduction STG-44's in 7.62x39 and MP-40's in 9mm. That's baller as fuck and only made possible because were actually supporting the firearm industry and not just buying cheap slavshit.

Most of their funding comes from membership dues and individual donations. They represent Americans' interests more than politicians do.

You would have those things anyway, except not every shotty little shop would survive. We could literally have both right now. Prices have gone up for literally everything except ars and basic bolt actions. The same for ammunition except.223 and.308. You get a million ar 15s and mauser copies for dirt cheap and nothing else. Theyve been talking about reproductions for decades and it has yet to happen.

Where's my $100 deer rifle, or $250 SKS equivalent?

Or a semi automatic rifle that fires rounds that can be had for less than a quarter a piece and are about equivalent to .308?

The NRA does very little lobbying, they spend less than a million a year.

Liberals in power don't actually want gun control as it would cost them votes.

The bottom line is our gun rights are quite safe.

They went out the window along with the value of your dollar, user.

Because the nra allowed them to be banned. Sks, svt, and mosins, along with their ammo, are still next to nothing in canada. This isnt an economic issue. The companies fuck us because now we have no other options. We would have the same special snowflakes, except commonly, the same milsurp for dirt cheap, and the same ars at maybe slightly more expensive than they are now.
