What is the quintessential talentless hack genre? Gonna go with ambient/drone.

shit opinion mate
the obvious answer is soundcloud rap
Harsh noise / Trap
dream pop/noise rock/shoegaze/art pop/nightcore
I'm thinking more along the lines of people trying to be artsy but taking the easy route
soundcloud producers who overuse samples
noise rock
24/7 Lofi Hip Hop
Anything that needs a fuckton of pedals
70's singer songwriters
so many absolutely pointless records out there that people think are timeless classics that are generally just dated snapshots of manufactured "rockstars" who really weren't that interesting to begin with anyway
that picture makes me feel conflicted
vaporwave.
why user?
is that Bork?
yes, can also be spelled borc depending on your region
Ambient is the ultimate pleb filter. Great ambient and shit ambient sounds the same only to entry level plebbos.
By drone I assume you mean the metal variety so I'll grant you that (though Absolutego is 9/10)
I'm talking about the shit stuff though
Reminds me of this artistic masterpiece
I don't even know where to start, this is way more funny than it should be
>(though Absolutego is 9/10)
Earth 2 is superior.
It's just modern muzak
Trap
Harsh Noise Wall and nothing else is really close desu.
Would you mind naming a few? I'm interested
whats wrong with art pop?
nightcore and vaporwave
Trap
nah. the ambient artists that come to mind for me are very good with sound engineering. there's more to it than just reverb and looping and seeing what comes out (though there's definitely people doing that as well and sometimes it's nice).
tape loop music
Anything electronic.
lo-fi hiphop is the obvious answer.
Shouldn't you be taking your medication for your back, Dad?
This 100%.
emo trap**
It has the lowest entrypoint and thus the most hacks too.
There is some good stuff in there too though.
Not a genre. It's like saying "anything acoustic/analog"
Jimmy Buffett
Don McLean
Ian Matthews
Gerry Rafferty
Paul Williams
any fucker who couldn't keep their band together past 1971
there's a ridiculously high amount of these individuals who played tepid soft rock or generic blues/country rock tunes and because they made one decent album at one point, they were allowed by their record companies to make about 12 more shitty ones
