hes my king
u have the best music taste :)

So is this, only contrarians disagree.

You are correct. What is the point of this thread?

I agree. It's been traumatic, but i stopped sucking kurdt's dick only recently... he would have been a shitlib and you know it

fuck that overrated ass album even the band members said so

It's actually just an 8/10 you fucking pleb

I tried listening to it for the first time the other day and I didn't like it
what do

it means you're a troll who trolls Sup Forums and should kill itself

Both of these posts are objectively correct.

this is a good cover

mooooooods!

My mom bought it for me when it came out. I didnt like it compared to incesticide and my going back to rediscover bleach. Back in those days when you bought an album it was a commitment, so mom asked why i wasnt listening to it and I had to to get more albums. It grows on you I guess.
NO IT DOESNT, YOURE A FAGGOT.

thanks user I will listen it again some other time

I think it is superior to Nevermind but I find listening to Come as you Are more than anything else.

In Utero = 9/10 (Consistently splendid album)
Nevermind = 8/10 (Great album with higher highs but lower lows than In Utero)

I'd prefer: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees almost every time

Check for a pulse

In Utero is Nevermind part two

Nevermind>>>In Utero

>tfw when you make fun of that weirdo isolated in the Tate murder house who Dave Grohl kept raving about after crashing his house for a pool party in the summer, but then his album drops and you realize you have nothing left but to rage quit.

But Rape Me is on it, and Rape Me is edgy 13-year-old-core shite.

I would give it a 9.5-9.9 but not at 10. 10 is reserved for the clearly superior album

>Rape Me is edgy
You missed the point of the song

>Listening to Nirvana
You have no taste. Here's some trve grunge.
>Green River - Rehab Doll
>Crimeny - Peat
>Only Living Witness - Prone Mortal Form
>Noizegarden - nOiZeGaRdEn
>Dr. Unknown - Ouch
>Tad - 8-Way Santa
>My Sister's Machine - Diva
>Gruntruck - Push
>Mudhoney - Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge

It means you're over 18.

To capitalize on the success of SLTS with SLTS part II?

This.

I see you borther. my apologies.

>SLTS part II
explain how they're even remotely similar

Literally the same strumming pattern
4 power chords repeated over and over again
Clean channel to distortion channel
Regardless, it's a shit song that would fit in the discography of any pop-punk or buttrock band

...

>Literally the same strumming pattern
Wrong.
>4 power chords repeated over and over again
True, but they aren't the same chords. Also the same could be said about millions of songs.
>Clean channel to distortion channel
True, but that's literally a staple for Nirvana songs. Don't fix what ain't broke.
>Regardless, it's a shit song that would fit in the discography of any pop-punk or buttrock band
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

They are completely different, milk it or very ape wouldn't have fit into nevermind

>Wrong
lmao they're the fucking same

>t. someone who doesn't play guitar
They're similar, I'll give you that. But they're not the same.

Dude it's the SLTS chords backwards even Kurt acknowledged this because he hated that song so much

SLTS: F-A#-G#(lol fag)-C#
RM: A-C-E-G

One extra upstroke here or there isn't significant enough to not point out that they're basically the same shit.
Pretty much the same tempo too.
Polly and Lithium have the same progression
Sliver progression has been done multiple times
He rehashes shit all the time.

SLTS chords are FFFA#A# GGGCC
Rape Me chords are GGGCC FFFA#A#.

Ahhh... this thread is building.... why the fuck did he kill himself you shills... i hate building up a suicidal shitlib. love life and bless those around you with LIFE

Kurdt was a proto shitlib of the Oympia Washington Riot Grrrl scene. He wrote a ton of very cringey "I wish I was gay, black, HIV riddled" type screeds.

He also, later on after his success, wrote a letter to Tobi Vale from Bikini Kill that those Evergreen College radicals were elitist, rich kids that he hated and they could all suck his dick. He hated working class white people and called them all rednecks but knew he was essentially a redneck himself

But a lot of stuff from Nevermind would've been at home on In Utero, plus I think Serve The Servants, Pennyroyal Tea, and Heart Shaped Box would've fit well on Nevermind.

Not only that, if you really think about it, Rape Me is just a re-wrtie of Teen Spirit.

Think what you will, but I stand by my statement.

I'm listening to it rn, ive been feeling shit and this album helping a bit

Thank you for this. This needs to be more widely known. Yes, his music was good, but we don't need to canonize the guy.

>SLTS chords are FFFA#A# GGGCC
Wrong it's G# and C#. Also if you want to be a stickler there are chucks in the middle and an upstroke of the open E and A.

>Rape Me chords are GGGCC FFFA#A#.
Also wrong, but so was mine. I forgot it was tuned down half a step. So it's actually:
G#-B-D#-F#
And the strumming pattern in Rape Me is 2 G#'s at the start, not 3 and there are more B's and F#'s than you listed.

If you like Nirvana you should read Heavier Than Heaven. I just finished it and it's 10/10. A huge amount of Kurt's personal journal writings and letters are included in the book

>

>he can't separate the art from the artist
pleb

I read it years ago. He was a guy good at making music. We don't need generations of men mimicking his disgust for life

I love Nirvana. Kurt's political and social beliefs don't affect me at all in terms of enjoying his music.

ITT we post better albums from the 90s

Eh I'd give it a decent 8 not a 10/10

>GGGCC FFFA#A#.
I couldn't resist
Rape Me according to user, ladies and gentlemen:
vocaroo.com/i/s0TqM7jMNNl9

I call it: Smells Like Rape

Nirvana was always more of a pop punk band with a tinge of grunge anyways.

Good post

vocaroo.com/i/s1c01xvL096h

I can't believe I ignored this post.
>Polly and Lithium have the same progression
Wrong.
L: D-F#-B-G-A#-C-A-C
P: E-G-D-C
Where the fuck are you getting your info?
>Sliver progression has been done multiple times
Name one.
>He rehashes shit all the time.
So does everyone else.

lolwut

>Where the fuck are you getting your info?
Hazy memories from 15 years ago when I last listened to this trash
>Name one.
Molly's lips

S: A-C
ML: G-C
Close, but no cigar.

>blocks your path

I know there is another one, it was a demo, and I can't remember it's title.

An indie-rock album has absolutely no right to be as good as this was
