Did you enjoy this movie?

Did you enjoy this movie?

What's your thoughts on the book?

How would you react if it was remade?

Yes

Haven't read it

No

a straighter adaptation of the book would be interesting
verhoeven's movie is fun, and while heinlein's book isn't exactly groundbreaking political commentary either, it'd be nice to see a movie that grapples with its ideas a little more intelligently instead of dude nazis lmao

Yes.

Never read it.

Go R Rated or go fucking home.

A movie that glorifies National Socialism on purpose rather than by accident would be a breath of fresh air.

Book is very different than the movie. I didn't like the ending, it just sort of ended. There background behind training was most interesting. And the concept of power armor you see in video games straight comes from the book.

The movie was good if you think of them as separate entities.

>How would you react if it was remade?
Beta uprising. No joke I would just suicide bomb the studio to make sure it never saw the light of day.

I've screencapped this so you better do it if they announce it.

Be a hero.

Why is everything with the remakes?

Why not just a new, original movie that takes place in the same universe?

I seriously don't get why they're rebooting or remaking everything when they can make new shit. More than that.. why is this what people want? To relive old stuff in a shittier manner?

>Be a hero
>a hero
>a

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand you've fucked it all up.

Daily reminder than the CGI series is kino and Verhoeven is a pinko gay commie.

Because there's less risk and they don't actually need to be creative

Shit.

Never post late at night.

That's when you only kill yourself
Trust me, I'm a meme doctor

yeah and what was he about to do FAGGOT

Bomb a studio...?

>I would just suicide bomb the studio
>suicide bomb
>suicide
do NOT
mess with me again

Killing other people in the process.
I'll have your license revoked, you fucking hack

Like Robocop and Total Recall, it's one of those movies I can rewatch any day.
It's just so fucking fun and enjoyable - satire or not.

It was great

It's very different, worth reading though

It would be a diversity filled shit-fest

>What's your thoughts on the book?

You can't hardly compare the book to the movies, the ayys in the book are sentient bipedal aliens.

Also the troopers are more like Space Marines, they have big nuclear powered exoskeleton robot battle frame things (power armor).

The only part that they were pretty faithful on was the authoritarian military (I guess that'd be a junta?) state, and that there are psychic / gifted type people (seemingly created by or at least discovered and controlled by the government), though in the book the one you see directly is a guy that can divine the layout of the ayy's underground cavern (like people that "douse" for water).

It'd be hard to remake it without falling into the "noble savage" / "space iraq" trap
