Have you ever been conscripted into army?

I served 21 months as a army and now I'm a civilian. My experience in army was boring as fuck and really impotent. How was your time in Army?

It lasted an entire day
Really tiring

Here is a lot of fun.

You get to bully each other and have your commander bully you to exhaustion

wasnt conscripted. currently in the air force tho

No, it was useless and in the early 90s it got removed because some officers killed a conscript in a dangerous intiation game.

Honestly, I'm glad I didn't have to do it, there are some retards trying to bring it back but it is not gonna happen.

>I served 21 months as a army

Deep

kek, you actually did the weekend thing?

I was in the Royal guard for a year, i stood infront of the castle looking at chinese ming-mings with big cameras.

Then they would ask me "prrease, pictar" and i would nod. Then 20 of them would come out of nowhere and huddle around me.

>I once had to chase a crackhead away from the royal garden.

>A lot of mentally ill people would claim they were the king and demanded to be let inside the castle.

>A crazy woman walked up to me with her dog, put the leash on my shoulder and asked me to shoot her.

what was your schedule for these 21 months?

Tell me about this last one

Had to spend an entire day in a army base getting force-fed propaganda and told about how great joining the military was, it was real boring and I slept though half of it

>Be me
>HK416 in a sling, normal position
>Guarding royal residence

>Hear shouting up the road, i was on the post near the main road where all the trouble would usually be.

>Hear some shouting about jesus christ our lord and savior coming closer and closer.
>I radio it in, shit's about to go down

>She calms down as she approaches me

>Puts the leash on my shoulder, tiny dog.

>"Boy, i'm tired of living with these demons in my head. Please shoot me"

>"no"

>"Please shoot me now, i demand it"

>"No"

>I slowly take the leash off me and gesture for her to take it

>She grabs it, spits on the ground near me and huddles off shouting down the road.

I didn't do my conscription, because I had better use for my time.

Most people agree that it was a kindergarten for adults that tought you fuck all.

I cut my wrist and kicked out. consequently spent 4 months in army. 1달 훈련소 1달 후반기교육 1달 자대 1달 정신병원

>I had better use for my time
Oh?

Dear fucking God thats bizarre

A friend of my mom was from the presidential guard and here his history
>be Brazil in 1988
>elect a guy that looks like a model and comes from a rich family
>and then be promoted to his his bodyguard
>what was to be a boring service with high salary went wrong
>the president is addicted to cocaine
>almost everyday he is high on coke
>almost everyday he wants to grab his Omega and do street race
>you from an army officer becomes a babysitter of a crackhead

He says that were the worst years of his life

Yeah, like doing my civil service in an elementary school and reading loli hentai.

Still in, graduated as Officer.

no, Americans will die for me if there'll be war.

...

AMAN guerreiro?

So instead of serving, they make you do volunteer stuff around the community? That's actually really cool.

Yeah. There's four options:
Military
Civil service
Medical discharge
Jail

You can also serve unarmed if you have some kind of moral dilemmas about shooting people.

EsPCEx.

Politics in Brazil are insane

But are doing the Officer school in Resende?

I honestly can't handle how reasonable your country is some time.

>wake up at 6:30 am
>roll call at 7:00
>simple cleaning
>eat breakfast
>wash up
>military training or work at 8:30 am until 11:40
>eat lunch
>have a rest until 1:00 pm
>military training or work until 3:00 pm or sometimes till 5:30 pm
>if daily task end at 3:00 pm physical training( running and push up and sit-up and cross fit and so on) until 5:30 pm
>eat dinner
>now it's free time which enable watching tv or internet searching or video game or exercise or PX or taking a shower until 8:30 pm
>cleaning section in barracks and toilet until 9:00pm
>see News on tv until 9:30 pm
>roll call at 9:30
>sleep at 10:00
It's a ordinary schedule and may differ according to unit's circumstance.

What the fug? Finland's conscription is nothing compared to Korea

teaches you how to handle stress if anything. but i agree most of it was pointless shit.

I first went to EsPCEx, then AMAN for 4 years.

Thank God i didn't served, i live near AMAN even a regular soldier from conscription passes trough a fucked up training, but at least the salary is R$1200,00

The graduating process in a bit shitty since you have to spend 5 years on a constant internate state, studying and training.

But Exercices are always fun since it gathers most academies and everyone must operate together.

Sadly i didn't participated on the biggest one that happened last year.

[insert obligatory Hun butthurt how conscription is slavery, that it tramples on the rights of men, it's inhumane and barbaric practice, etc. etc. etc.]

I hope you don't mind cutting short this conversation, but I don't have the energy to properly start chimping out today.

>get nuked by Kim Jongun at 10:30 pm

Thinking about joining a being a pilot

6 months as a signal man. Waste of time.

lole @ Drumpfmerica if he manages to get nuked by Kimmy in the first year.

But if there was an actual military conflict, you can't in any way avoid getting involved

If you get medically discharged they put you into the far end of the reserve and in first case civil service during the possibility of war. Runners naturally will be treated as traitors to the country and will face harsh punishments and distrust form society till their death.

It applies to us too, Even worse.

They woulden't let me in becouse of my bad eyesight

How is it? I graduated and interested in joining.

>tfw got exempted

I probably would've managed to kill myself somehow if I'd been conscripted.

thoughts on starcreaft remastered?

how did you get exempted?

>be Me
>approaching age of mandatory "National Service" training
>not Malay
>well known that only "Bumiputeras" AKA natural citizen
>OOOOOH NOOOOO
>day of name list release, exempted as name's not among, already past my surname alphabet
>ayyyyy
>months later, friends due for NS all super demoralized because of this shit after national exams
>1MDB scandal
>govvie announces one day that NS is postponed indefinitely, eventually canceled
>mfw govvie can't run NS because lacking of moneh
>mfw it's been some years already since indefinite postpone
>mfw govvie still reminding every now and then that they're gonna come for their arses

>signal man

MY SIDES-

I didn't do shit for a whole year. I did 'security' at a recruit school in a major city. We weren't even armed except for special occasions maybe 5 times a year in total. Most of my time went to eating kebab and watching Netflix.
Also we had 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. We also had room inspection only once a week, maybe once every two weeks in the end. All in all a fun but useless year

>How was your time in Army?

Shit
Until when Nov 15

Yes

National service is suspended here. From time to time there is a politician that propose to bring it back (most of the time, it's to help for integration of nigger and arab in society).

No, thank's gosh.

served for 14 months as an officer cadet and then as a 2nd lieutenant. At first I was my company captain's XO, then he had to leave for a couple of months and I replaced him. Commanded a whole battery, shot lots o' guns, rifus and cannonfus, shit was so cash. Pic related it's me and my bitch.

This guy looks like a model?

we made it

9 months of wasted time that I could've spent studying or working. The whole 9 month experience could be compressed into a ~2 month package. Especially the last 3 months were the worst. Here's a typical day during my last 90 days :

>wake up
>breakfast
>free time until lunch
>lunch
>free time until dinner
>dinner
>free time until nighty nighty

Literally NO service at all apart from eating (it's considered as service). Having a lot of free time sure is nice but it gets pretty boring after a while. Most of it was spent playing sports, playing vidya games (NHL in particular was very popular in the barracks!), reading books etc.

should had picked a better branch then.

fuck the internet

I dodged compulsory conscripted thanks to being short-sighted.

Feels good man.

Conscription was reintroduced this year, and I got a letter saying I was required to fil in a form. From that they decide who they are going to bring into examination, and from that they decide who they are going to conscript. Not that many in each batch, but everybody was pretty excited as we were gonna be the first year conscripted for over a decade. Actually I had done a preperatory course for what basic military training was like during the summer a year before.

I didn't get called in though. Guess my own estimated strenght and endurance, plus my listed psychological diagnosis, made them think I wouldn't be what they were looking for. Kind of sad, I suppose. Although it does mean that I can leave for uni a year before I would otherwise be able to.

>NS
>conscription
That is really stretching it, its just 2.5month of some marching but mostly eating with 3x tea time, camping , raising pet snake and scorpions, fruit picking, picnic at waterfalls, group games and some work like painting schools and trash picking at camping sites.

>>not Malay
Good for you. I hear the requirements are pretty bad.

What requirements?

This. Artillery learns it job in weeks, I've heard.

What language you speak, which religion you are, what customs you have to follow and where you can live.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_160_of_the_Constitution_of_Malaysia

9 months, military police.
We were kind of doing something that constitutes as actual work every other week (guard duty).
And the training was really interesting, being a combination of urban warfare, target escort, counter-special forces and search and apprehension of dangerous individuals.

Wouldn't want to go through it again though.

yes
i was drafted by the salvation army

Kek, never had any problem my entire life, if I use english nobody is gonna confisticate my ID and rewrite my malay status and deny me my 6% discount when buying a house.
Malays are just general terms bongs use to call native austronesian who answer to the local sultan, that part just gives a specific definition on malay for law purpose.

Conscription got abolished in like '90 or something, and even though some parties wanted it reinstated, it wasn't, so never had to do it.

I wasnt let in

>there are actually people here who are screncapping everything to post on facebook and reddit
this place is so fucking dead

Who /coastal forces/ here?

I'm joining the foreign legion next year

Luftwaffel here

Dunno, its been pretty average so far I guess
Can't wait to actually serve, since I've only been training yet

pleb t. borderjäger

What is the difference between coastal forces and the navy or coast guard?

If I don't university I'm going to get mandatory service

Other has a boat

Yep, and I liked it, but our conscription is most likely very different to yours.

It was great fun, you got to do a lot of fun stuff, see shit you would never have seen and learn to trust your self a lot more, as you have prooven that you are capable of much more then you belive.

Navy is navy. Coastal forces are ground forces who specialize in fighting on the coast.
Their activities include things like defending against ships and enemy landings and doing landings themselves

Navy is on boats having gay sex, coast guard is on boats without weapons and has much more gay sex and costal forces are for shooting up the enemies boats from land (involves no gay sex)

We have this saying:
What's gay in civil life is brotherhood in the army, What's gay in the army is brotherhood in the coastal forces, What's gay in the coastal forces is brotherhood in the navy and what's gay in the navy is illegal

12 months, signals NCO. I wouldn't want to do the whole year again, or at least skip the first few months which are truly deep from anus, but I'm always hoping for a rehearsal invitation everytime I check the mail.

>mfw nothing but disapointments so far

i wish i was mongol, err, finnish and become a conscript.

Coastal forces is sitting on a piece of rock in the middle of the sea at 30m/s wind and it's raining out the ass

Got a conscription notice in the mail.

Was back in the early 90s

I walked into their office and told them my family does not serve/will not ever protect a communist regime.

then walked the fucked out of there never to be seen again.

After which I immigrated to USA where I found a decent job while the other faggots here had to serve it out and get hazed in the military.

>serbia doesn't have an army
fuck

Are you retarded?

iktqf

no, we just have an anti-serbian gonverment since 2000.

Thankfully, I dodged the draft

Was volunteering after they brought conscription back, got to choose where I wanted to serve because of that

Didn't pass because of a heart problem, but after a while and some news articles about conscript life and how government treats you during and after service I changed my mind radically and I'm glad I could avoid it

So the Serbian Army isnt the Serbian Army?
