Can you name a more beautiful film, Sup Forums?
yes, a lot, but paris texas its beautiful indeed
Y tu mama tambien
The assassination of jesse james
Children of men
Barry lyndon
Nightcrawler
The Great Beauty
La haine
Taxi Driver
Deer Hunter
ice storm
I liked paris, texas, but there's so many better examples of a "Beautiful film". Then again, this is all determined by your own personal perspective, much like any other art.
Not OP, but Paris Texas is 10x better than any of those.
Spirit of the Beehive
I love that movie, I can't deny it is great. But I sincerely believe 1987's Dark Eyes/Oci ciornie is the most beautiful film ever made.
Bad Boy Bubby
kek
breaking the waves
no
Not that user but his picks are much better than the OP
Agreed also half blood prince reminds me of barry lyndon it looks like a rembrandt painting
>The assassination of jesse james
>Children of men
>Nightcrawler
>La haine

i want reddit to pack their bags and flag down a cab and leave
Wings of Desire, maybe.
It's so sad to see that Wenders' latest movies are bad :(
Would reccomend.
Can anyone rec more films like Paris, Texas, films that have a quietness about them, almost melancholic. And please don't give me films like Her.
no
just watched it, why didnt Travis stay with his family?
the 400 blows
all of edward yang
kiarostami
Cuz he beat his wife or whatever and then he felt guilty.
Wings of Desire
oh yeah and maybe ozu?
Woman in the Dunes
>putting Kiarostami in the same stack of pleb shit as Yang
but kiarostami is the dictionary definition of pleb shit user
What's wrong with Yang?
I don't think he meant beautiful as in "pretty cinematography". Many of those films you mention are very sad and depressing, without a shred of hope.
...
i never ever want to see this movie again
but i'm glad i saw it
howdy redditor
oh god, she looks like her dad in a blonde wig
>a more beautiful film
ez.
The Terrorizers (1986)
The phone booth scene was pure KINO
Depends on what you mean by beautiful. Perhaps a combination of aesthetic and emotion? If so then plenty of period dramas
Pride and Prejudice
Atonement (except the fedora ending)
Becoming Jane
One Day
Jane Eyre
Sense and Sensibility
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
In the Mood for Love
Only Yesterday
Lmao
Wenders is incredible, watch Alice in the Cities.
