From Andrew Garfields role in "Imaginarium of Dr. Parnasus" id say he could play a pretty good Vash.
Wayne Static
Vash won't work in live action, simply because he is never supposed to be particularly impressive.
Even when he gets serious and starts shooting bullets out of the air, or whatever, he's still just this goofy skinny guy, as befitting a messianic character:
He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Ryan Gosling
Garfield could definitely work
Jamie Foxx
came here to post this
trigun's hard to me since a lot of the cast would be overexposed meme actors and trigun deserves better.
what comes to mind is like pratt for vash if he cut a lot of weight, idk if anyone does convincing naive boyishness like pratt right now, and he has presence.
bale or colin farrell for wolfwood
and tell me pic related wouldn't be a good knives
Gosling is too stiff though, he wouldnt be able to pull off Vash's goofy persona. Doesnt really look like him either.
gosling came to my mind too, then i remembered the goofiness and pacifism is the only thing separating vash from other edgy anime heroes which made me think of chris pratt
I came here just to say that Trigun is probably the only anime I really liked.
I mean, I pretended that I liked NGE but to be fair it was pretentious crap.
Trigun has a great story with perfect, bittersweet ending.
that's only half of the vash character. The goofiness is a mask for the continuous pain that he feels
I know this is basically linkin park territory, but that is the character's design. The actor has to appear quietly sad when he's not being goofy.
>Chris Pratt
Cast him
Knives is such a bastard, but an excellently written one. His personality clashes with Vash's ideals in such a cool way, vid related youtu.be
Zac Efron, or that other guy that looks like Zac Efron.
Chris Pine?
let's hear your idea
yeah that points me more towards jeremy renner, but he's just not aesthetic enough
Jared Leto if he stays in character during the entire preproduction and shooting.
Then I want Herzog producing the documentary about making of that movie.
Does the world really need a live action adaptation of this? youtu.be
Neil Patrick Harris
Perfect for the role because Vash the Stampede is outlandish, comedic, acts pathetic until he unleashes, and needs a dynamic actor who happens to be skinny, blonde and capable of wearing green contacts.
If I could find someone younger and unknown who can do this, I would cast him instead.
The answer is Ye
alexander skargard
you must not have watched The Nice Guys
To add to that, Christina Ricci and Elizabeth Debicki as the insurance girls.
Neil is 6 foot, Ricci is 5'1" and Elizabeth is 6'3"
Pottery.
Just too bad he's a manlet and will need a ladder every time he's in a shot. Otherwise that's actually not a bad suggestion.
Ricci would be good like 10 years ago maybe user. Try these two instead
He's 6 feet tall, my dude.
He's a bona fide tall guy.
>white savior/christ figure
clearly a black person should play this character
Idris Alba
NPH would make an amazong Knives imo, better him than Vash.
I can get behind these two
She's still a qt and quite feverish user.
Childish Gambino
Young Keanu Reeves.
Kek
I watched NGE only to get the memes but I like trigun far more as well.
90s brad pitt
How is that kekworthy, explain yourself.
i'm not sure he could pull it off, but i'd pay to see him try.
It's a meme you dip
