Frank called again in BBC 606 and was mad again.

They've lost 2 games since march. If you send lots of players to one side of the pitch its more difficult to defend the other side. Klopp wants to avoid this by intense pressing and winning the ball back as soon as they lose it. To escape the press the oppsing team will often hoof the ball up to a big black striker.

Attacking football = defend a large space with few players = very dangerous if you lose the ball.

Defending football is boring as fuck.

he's g*rman

Maybe he shouldn't instruct his backline of defenders to press so high then? You can press through the forwards and midfield without having to sacrifice stability at the back like Klopp is doing.

Both. It wouldn't be as horrible with better players because well they're fucking better, plus a leader like VVD would sort out their fucking heads from going every now and then in defence. But as said, with the high press tactics you defend higher but you concede the fact that counterattacking with long balls becomes a bit easier for the opposition. When you press high and are caught out by the other team you are naturally going to concede high quality chances as they're on the front foot, the team is all pressing upwards "out of position" and it's difficult to track back (quickly) and defend chances like that. I don't know the solution as I'm not a football manager with decades of experience like you all

>given Mignolet 5 year deal
>signed Karius
>signed Klavan
>signed Matip
>signed Robertson
>alienated/sold Sakho
>sold Lucas
>given Lovren 4 year deal
It has been almost 2 years since Klopp was appointed that is what he has done to the defence during that time

He had Hummels back then in Dortmund. Seen him talking to Klopp in pre-season Audi Cup. Hope he will bring him to Liverpool.

Both, but the main issue is that he refuses to spend/someone in the club refuses to spend outside of the main target. There's hundreds of defenders in world football that would be an upgrade over lovren/klavan but no money was spent as they couldn't get their main target which is bizarre you still need a defence

>selling Lucas was bad
>Matip wasn't an improvement
>Judging Robertson already

Why the fuck do you tards even participate in threads?

if I chose to omit certain parts of what he has done to the defence, would it be fair? Nowhere have I given an opinion in the post, you moron.

le >i rate lovren man

well he's got no choice now.
Against Burnley though it'd be better to put a youth who wants to prove himself in the team instead

Memenpress requires a lot of stamina, and the players just can't keep it up, even if they are nigs who know more about triathlons than about the ball having a round shape

Press too high thus open a lot of spaces behind

This

This, plus with open spaces behind you need world class defenders with 1) stamina 2) vision 3) placement 4) speed 5) acceleration PLUS a world class goalkeeper who can sprint out of his box to intercept.
Because if Liverslip loses the ball, it's literally the Gerrard's slip / Demba Ba counterattack situation every single time

If you watch Liverpool games you can see what happens and why he wants van dijk specifically. It's why he only has bought back up and rotational players.

When he instructs his team to press to force the team to the sides of the pitch he expects a long ball or a cross to happen from the opposition. He wants his CBs to win the long ball or cross.

That's why he keeps saying there's not that many defenders that he can choose from. Even though there are quality cbs there aren't many that fit his system..

>tfw Klopp designed a strategy solely to make it easier to make fun of us on Sup Forums
I knew it.

Klopp is an ABL plant, does well enough to give hope, but will always slip up

Ahead of that clash, Klopp insisted he and his recruitment staff had watched a host of alternatives “500 million times.”

The German suggested that he turned down the prospect of signing Colombia international Davinson Sanchez, who ultimately join Tottenham from Ajax, as well as Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

He's not even from Liverpool

>Jurgen Flopp

at least the Cockney Kopites are loyal, la. Many would have supported Chelsea years ago

>create system that you can't find the right players for anywhere in the world
>????
>lose!

Love how this dirtbag gets his dick sucked for being an inferior guardiola

>Klopp and Guardiola
>similar
what?

But loads of defenders can win a high ball

What is it with klopp and DIVERSE defenders?

He didn't sign anyone. Shouldn't of sold sakho either because the starting 5 defenders on Saturday were an absolute joke. He's the German Brendan rogers
>b-but he wore a Beatles t shirt and has Pashun
Liverpool fans are the worst

Getting caught on the break is one thing, but not being able to defend set-pieces is another entirely. It is truly amazing to watch a team every week that hasn't been able to deal with corners for almost 5 years.

hate cockneys desu

I think robertson was a pretty good signing desu

pictured: the only reason klopp ever won anything

We're not even good at offensive corners either.

>entire team apart from CBs is manlets
no wonder he always concedes from set pieces. You need some strong fucks with big aerial reach in every team and Liverpool just don't have that at the moment.

GOATkreutz was an excellent pressing player and could play practically any outfield position. He really is very underrated.

Klopp really could need a Kampfschwein like him.
