Nolan's Batman movies are the only good Batman movies.

spotted the the cuck with no taste

They're good, but Batman (1966) and Batman (1989) are both essentials.

Batman '89 holds up far better that's for sure, but Returns is still decent

Dont make me say it....

no, Batman and Batam Returns remain the most iconic and best batman films of all time to a vast majority of people who enjoyed them as they came out before the dark knight came around, that may be best cinematically wise but as Batman films, these were best hands down cuckwad

Batman '89 is a fantastic movie, but Returns is not.

>This movie is not as good as you remember it being. Admit it.
I was like 10 when it came out, I didn't like it as much then either. Most of burtons shit just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

i remember it being shit

Without 89, there would be no animated series.

The 1966 Batman fucking sucks.

Does Burton's Batman qualify as neo-noir?

"no"

Returns is awesome. Worth watching for Keaton/Pfeiffer revelation dance scene.

it's campkino

OP here. That movie sucks, but I love that scene. Its cute as fuck.

How much you enjoy Returns hinges on how you feel about Danny DeVito's Penguin

I don't care for him, and since so much of the movie focuses on him I'm indifferent towards the whole affair. I love Catwoman but there is too little of her and Batman and too much Penguin

I never caught that devito-penguin was a huge pervert

No Batman movie is good after you turn 18.

See, I love Penguin. He's a twisted, funhouse mirror Bruce Wayne (and in this continuity, he recruited from the thurcus first).

I agree. I watched it recently and was bored by it quite a lot. The plot is much more stereotypical than I remembered. I think that Catwoman at least has a nice ending, though I had hoped for Penguin's scenes to be filled with more chracter.
It still looks great, though. Every single Batman film from the 90s does.

Thats the thing about 89. nobody gave a shit about comics back then. So everyone knew batman from the 60s show (which was in syndication with nick at night...ask your parents)

So the movie proved that comic book movies could be dark and violent.

It wasnt a great movie, but it had a huge impact on pop culture that continues to this day. For better or for worse is up to you to decide.

You suck

>underage poster

Wrong. The 1960's Batman never aired on Nick at Night, but rather on TBS Superstation.

>hating fun
>movies have to be serious and realistic
Easiest way to spot an underage poster.

1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman (1989)
3. Batman Begins
4. The Dark Knight Rises
5. Batman (1966)
6. Batman Returns
7. Batman Forever
8. Batman & Robin

>Tim Burton movie doesn't age well

No shit, you put chocolate in milk to make it dark doesn't mean it's going to last longer.

The 1966 Batman only sucks if you believe for a second that it was trying to be serious. It's a camp comedy masterpiece that mocks itself with every second.

This is what a no taste sheep looks like

This. It's pretty genius.

Its more neo-German Expressionism.

>Batman Forever
>that low

I hate Joel Silver for being a hack but seriously, that was a fun movie

>Batman Returns that low
>sheep

more like

1) Batman '89
2) Batman '66
3) Batman Returns
4) Batman Forever
5) Batman Begins
6) Batman & Robin
7) The Dark Knight
8) The Dark Knight Rises

>TDK above Begins
>TDKR above 66
>TDKR above Returns

>Batman & Robin over The Dark Knight

Put 66 higher, and it'll be correct.

correct. Returns aged like milk for me

Fact: The only live-action Batman films you could realistically argue being better than it are Batman '89 and The Dark Knight.

Batman Begins is great.

I enjoy Batman & Robin even if it's objectively terrible. The Dark Knight is a chore to watch

Batman Returns is just barely above the Schumacher films.

>: Batman Returns
Nah, the brooding atmosphere and twisted nature of this film is pretty fantastic. Not arguing that it's a masterpiece, though it's certainly a good film and nowhere near the depths of the Schumacher films.

I watched it last week and loved it. The visual direction and soundtrack to the Burton movies are GOAT.

Terrible

Batman Returns
The Dark Knight Rises
Batman: The Movie
Batman & Robin
Batman Forever
Batman
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight

This is seemingly random.

Nigga what?

Batman Forever had the best reaction images

objective

Batman '89
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
Batman '66
Batman Returns
The Dark Knight Rises
Batman Forever
Batman & Robin

Not really. Anybody can see that I value camp above all else.

I'm old, most people thought it was shit when it came out. It's never been overrated. It's the reason they took the franchise away from Tim Burton.

>they took the franchise away from Tim Burton.
no

I loved watching it on cable (as a 12 year old).

I need to rewatch it but I remember its dark and twisted style. Very interesting.

it's old therefore it's good

Eat floor
High fiber

Pfeiffer is sexy as fuck.

So is Siouxsie in the music video.

Are you implying they didn't?

The Joel Schumacher movies are great campy kids movies and if you can't see that you are LITERALLY an overly-serious neckbeard.

Everyone involved had fun making those movies and they're great fun to watch.

How in the fuck does the Batmobile be able to detect "the duck" that Frank is riding?
