>They "need" the squad to stop something that only happened because they created the squad

It's so dense

>their teammate
Except none of them know her or have met her except the guy boning her and maybe Katakana.

so dumb.

not only that, but the squad felt betrayed when flag told them that what they were fighting was the woman they have never met as an excuse to do the bar scene

>four intro scenes

Why do they hate storytelling?

>Zod only attempts to commit genocide on humanity because of the fact that Superman was sent to Earth

like pottery

>Even though everything is objectively Amanda Waller and her stupid program's fault, she gets away with everything and nobody in the public or the government wants her ass on a plate.

thats called spite though

>Lex only creates Doomsday because Superman just stood there watching while Lex' dad pounded his boipusy

damn

>accountability in government

When shit like this happens, the government always looks for a scapegoat to blame everything on. They would say it was all Amanda Waller's fault (since, you know, it really is) and wash their hands of everything. Literally nobody would come to her defense, the media and public would be all over blaming her too.

please try naming some gov't scapegoats IRL...
Just as an example who in gov't was scapegoated for the Iraq War (biggest foreign policy boondoggle in our lifetime)? Can you name even one bureaucrat that lost his job, much less was prosecuted, for that?

This is the one interesting thematic element in Suicide Squad. Most everything coming out of Hollywood has a pretty extreme pro-gov't slant to it. Most of the time it's in the background, but in some cases it's just an all-out propaganda assault... e.g. The Big Short.

Movies I saw in 2016 that were worse than suicide squad:

The Killing Joke, Tarzan, Ghostbusters answer the call, ninja turtles out of the shadows, popstar, sausage party, independence day resurgence, zoolander 2, yoga hosers

just because you see it as a 'boondoggle' doesn't mean the american public does as a whole

we're talking an interdminesional being demolishing a few city blocks and murdering god knows how many officers, not shooting at some peasant children in some desert on the other side of the world

>they try to resolve their conflict like kids fucking around in a schoolyard
>everyone just stops when literally someone hits the other too hard without any real solution to said conflict
How is this compelling or interesting in any way?

tens of thousands of dead american soldiers, a million plus iraqi deaths... couple of trillion dollars down the drain to destabilize the Middle East and more islamic terrorism than ever.

No big deal. Government is really good at getting stuff done, and weeding out incompetence and failure. For sure.

neither side knows how far the other is willing to go. They really fucked up the execution trying to keep it 'fun', but done right this concept could have made for a tense as fuck scene. You can kinda see it when they use explosions and the little exchange between black widow and hawkeye. I guess they saved the tension for the tony vs steve fight.

>dude these nolan movies are about how people are orchestrating their own demise

>lets make a bunch of movies about people doing literally nothing else

>why are our movies underperforming

spout off whatever you want, it doesn't mean that a few hundred million people are suddenly going to see things your way and decide the government needs to punish someone for it.

They framed it so the terrorists were the bad guys and the one at fault, it would have been very hard to do this in regards to the events of suicide squad, prompting a need to pin it all on one person and let it die with them.

Keep on telling me why YOU think the whole Iraq war was a colossal fuckup though, maybe after an hour of it I'll decide that the movie didn't overlook a huge factor.

Even the fucking MCU has the avengers constantly under fire for fucking up as much as they fix

There is no way to make a scene about two groups/entities who don't want to fight each other "tense."

This was proven in BvS as well.

it could've been with a better script

>Can you name even one bureaucrat that lost his job, much less was prosecuted, for that?
saddam hussein?

still waiting for that example of a scapegoat...

WE SUM KINDA

SUM FINNA

SOME SORTA

SUICIDE SQUAAAAAAAAA

Not him but are you underage? Most Americans view the Iraq War as Bush finishing his daddy's legacy and hunting for oil.

Was Bush ever prosecuted? No they blamed everything on Hussein and hanged him. What they'd do here is blame everything on enchantress and deny they had anything to do with it (like they said they'd do in the beginning)

Stop dickriding the government.

Whatever you say

I'm telling you in that situation they didn't need one, you clown, plenty of people supported the war in iraq because they were killing 'them mudshits that blew up dem towers'

You're so off track in this argument you're failing the turing test

Still waiting...
Is it so off base to ask you to give an example to back up your original assertion??

>a video game

You shit all over yourself.

First four minutes:
>hey guys you like this song right
>how about this song
>oh this is a good track too
>hey how about this rocking tune

what the fuck

>HONKA HONKA

>how is this compelling or interesting in any way?

Sounds like a betrayal story (in general, not SS)

>we da bad guys
>we antisocial psychopath
>we try to kill everyone in gotham etc many times
>we at random bar
>we save the world now because why not
>the movie

Why did Croc want to stop the soldiers from planting the bomb underwater? Just an asshole?

Damn. That's some dedication.
