The vast majority of the music I listen to is from the UK or US.
What are some good non-English speaking bands or artists that you recommend outside the obvious krautrock etc?
Foreign music

Ah so you're a Euroboo? Of course you must be, there's no other reason anyone could have any interest in anything European otherwise.
You've got to dig into old African fuzz funk, highlife, and afrobeat. Lots of cool stuff with a good sound, and it'll get you some music from a different continent to broaden your collection. I'm no expert but here are some of of my recommendations:
WIlliam Onyeabor
Fela Kuti (obviously)
Dr Sir Warrior and the Oriental Brothers International Band
Orchestra Baobab
Ofo & The Black Company
There's also a ... I dunno how to describe it, like... Nigerian... loopy guitars? guy who goes by Bombino who got kind of famous after featuring in a Western documentary film. He's more current and has more of a presence in Western music media than most of the other artists I listed (Fela notwithstanding), and I think he's pretty good. You should check Bombino out even if you don't end up liking the other/older stuff.
>I am such a manly man, the standard of living is low where I live and I hate democracy because decades of authoritarian leadership killed any trust in politics
Polish black metal is pretty dope though

Brazilian music from the 60s and 70s is amazing.
The blend of African rhythms, American Jazz influences and pop melodies creates this fun mix of sounds that's actually really accessible to western listeners.
Try Joao Gilberto, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Novos Baianos, Milton Nascimento, Chico Buarque, Gal Costa, Baden Powell, Jorge Ben, Garoto
