What a ripoff

that dan guy sounds like a bit of a shitter 2bh

s-sorry man, i deserve that two weeks fine

He's usually pretty good

>170 cm
when will they (dan's) learn?

>accidentally confirmed 6 weeks of preseason

>12 determination

what did you two mean by this?

How do I go about finding a backup striker that isn't complete shit, won't complain about riding the bench, and completely understands their role?

Put a decent prospect on the bench I guess. If their status is hot prospect then they don't whine as much for playing time I think.

promote some kid from your youth academy. ideally someone who
>likes the club
>isn't very good, so doesn't get funny ideas about being a starter
>has high workrate/good personality/enjoys big matches
and play them just enough in cup games and during fixture congestion to develop them and keep them from demanding a transfer

this is the guy I'm using right now, and while he's missing a few of those, he tends to deliver when called upon

Whats his best position/role lads???

DLP(s) or maybe regista

thinking about turning this into a wingback. too crazy? too slow?

Sorry about the frame rate, but you get the idea.

CM (D) or something else boring, apologize for not showing me a meme player

>allowed to have 4 players on the bench
>one has to be a goalkeeper

Winning the cup without scoring was quite a hollow achievement. Other team gave away two own goals and that was that.

what competition has such shitty rules?

also, my team created one (1) chance the last game, even with a heavily attacking formation. how does one get a team to create chances?

In the Vanarama League there's only five subs which is also doesn't leave too much wiggle room. You need some really versatile depth players with those limitations.

Shit, I'm on the verge of securing promotion to this league and wasn't aware of this ass rule. Kinda spoils the scouting I've done for summer transfers

In the North/South atleast. Not sure about the other non-league places. Good luck though. It's one hell of a trench to climb out of. And say hi to Jim Gannon for me while you're there, I feel really bad for taking his job and leading Stockport to financial ruin.

yeah, vanarama national and north/south both only have five subs, but you don't have to play a sub GK (I did, but it wasn't compulsory)
gotta buy super versatile players to compensate

I'd have him play as a midfielder for a few years to improve his technicals and vision, etc., then perhaps train him as a WB or IWB when his foundation for it seems a bit better.

>give 17yo striker his debut
>this happens

and he's not done yet

this guy is on 10k/pw for deep insights such as this

continuing my monologue

absolutely disgusting

what the fuck, suddenly everybody wants to go to china

FM17 feature: China wants your players now nearly as much as Martians want your women.

>Shanggang
Sounds like they are about to make you an offer you can't refuse

gotta love shitty chinese clubs being able to drain out your better players with 400k/w salaries.

Or MLS clubs for that matters.
>Toronto wants Italian MC
>Italian MC doesn't give two shits
>Toronto asks help from Giovinco
>"Boss pls let me go plsplspls :((("

Hopefully this Chinese takeway nonsense is curbed in FM18 because of new rules in China on signing foreign players.

Kinda conflicted with this guy. Scouts told me he has potential to be one of the best players of his generation, but he's a one-footed manlet who can't jump.

He's class

Just like every fast striker ever

expected the union jack making this post, not you

...

You can train his weaker foot. His heading is good, I've had several manlet Complete Forwards who still scored from headers fairly often despite not being able to jump, their heading ability was still good. In any case you can have low crosses sent to him.

Mitch, are you leeching off Burter this time?

More like using vanilla hair in FM17.

>win the first leg of CL qualifiers 2-1
>none of my players seem interested in the second leg so we lose 2-0
Ohh well...

How does release clause fee works? If I "lock" my player under 10M minimum release clause, does this make him safe? I mean will the board be able to go behind my back if they get an offer under 10M?

No. It means that shall a club offer 10M€, the offer will be automatically accepted.

So there is no downside to it then if I sign my player on a large release clause?

Your player shouldn't have a clause at all if you can avoid it you moron. That's literally the first thing to definitively exclude from the negotiations. Making it bigger changes nothing if the club interested in him has the spending power (see Neymar).

I'm happy to get 10M for any of my players, but as soon as the winter transfer window opens I'll get flooded with offers under 1M and either lose half of my team or became the most hated person in town for refusing the offers.

>I'm happy to get 10M for any of my players
Who gives a shit about that amount of money. You're going to learn real soon that it doesn't matter once you get to the CL.

> as soon as the winter transfer window opens I'll get flooded with offers under 1M
Exactly. Other clubs won't want to use it and just will try to unsettle the player to get him for cheaper. Now forget about that clause, it's terrible. Never use it. It's no good for you, it's only good for the player just like promises (it is a promise after all). You'll lost players on deadline day at worst and you'll look like an idiot because you won't be able to replace him because even if you have the money, your shitty reputation means few players will be interested unless you massively overpay.

DON'T. DO. IT.

he's turning into a euro cup specialist

I think that with a well-valued release clause you can get a few mil more from a player than you could normally. instead of lowballing and then negotiating upwards, the buying club can just decide to shell out the release clause instead. I've never seen clubs offer a few millions short of the clause, they go for the full price instead

>I've never seen clubs offer a few millions short of the clause, they go for the full price instead
Don't manage in Slovenia then.

The thing is, money makes no difference to your situation when you manage in shit countries like this. It's not useful for transfers. It sounds funny to say that money isn't important for transfers, but it's true: it's all Reputation. The kind of players you'd need to improve your squad to make a mark in Europe will ask for tens of thousands per week (or more because you're shit and you have to overpay) because that's what they'd get paid in big leagues, which you obviously cannot offer. In other words, it's WAY better to keep the players you have already because you won't be able to replace them with equivalent players at a similar price or cheaper. And if you do, why did you let the other one leave anyway? Cuz' he's Unhappy? Fuck him. You're the manager, what you say is what goes, end of.

So you end up buying youngsters left and right instead which aren't expensive anyway, more facilities, more backroom staff (I had around 60 staff members) to develop or/and spot more youngsters, perhaps wasting money in stadium capacity upgrades but they're not useful since even if you sell out for every match, the ticket price is too low for you to ever even hope recoup on the price the extension/new stadium costed.

You have to stop thinking as if you were managing in a big league within a big country. The most I ever spent on a player was 30M€ for pic related. Which highlights how terrible big clubs are at managing high potential players (link below): PSG let him go for 2.2M€ to Rennes which is an absolute bargain deal and much better clubs should've jumped on that. Then he got good, then Unhappy and here he is.
>strikerless.com/2017/08/12/the-cuckoo-transfer-market-strategy-let-others-develop-the-talents-for-you/

dont worry my hipsterism isn't that rampaging

>I had around 60 staff members

for what purpose

>mom was using the laptop and apparently it "crashed" with a "a lot of blue and white writing"
>start the laptop
>get random error messages about programs that stopped working
>catalyst control manager crashing
>explorer.exe crashing
>other random programs crashing
>random shit installed I've never seen before
>steam wont even run past the loading stage and just crashes without even a notification
>cant make a clean install of windows because of unrelated reasons with remote-access to a work station
I-I just wanted to play my cumfy spread sheet simulator

>>cant make a clean install of windows because of unrelated reasons with remote-access to a work station
Yeah, having a nonfunctional machine sounds a lot better than interrupting something... that it's probably already interrupting because everything is crashing.

Scouting and coaching mostly. Of course first I had the bunnies I put there only for eye candy. Then, trough CL prize money I became so filthy fucking rich that I could afford to scout every single region in the world at all times and on the top of that double assignments on some of the biggest regions anyway. Plus, I would poach staff with vast scouting knowledge since it's way better in order to increase scouting knowledge than actually scouting. Swedes, Russkies, Croats, North Africans, etc. all have knowledge of quite a few countries because the db says so (just go check the Editor, it's true).

The the rest is coaching staff to bring through the youngsters you need for your first team because you can't rely on intakes, be it yours or the ones from other clubs and you obviously need HG players. So you scout youngsters, develop them, then use them to become a bigger club or sell them when they're no longer good enough for your team. Rinse, repeat. It results in fairly unrealistic situations where your squad average age is around 22 because as said before, players from bigger leagues are way too expensive for you.

You guys are all way too afraid to play someone out of position. Every central midfielder with decent enough defensive stats should be able to play as a full back and not make a complete fool out of himself, you can always IWB them. Just like every playmaker or fast striker should be useful on the wings.

borked ram maybe?

>And if you do, why did you let the other one leave anyway? Cuz' he's Unhappy? Fuck him. You're the manager, what you say is what goes, end of.
But that causes a locker room revolt and everyone's moral drops and it results in really bad performances on the pitch. It's always this one player that starts and leads this revolution, it's always Andraz Kirm since he's some moral authority in the locker room or something.

Also
>dat background

>squad average age is around 22

that's just par of the course. 24 is past it

also desu scouting places like caribbean and middle america is just a waste of time, your scouts won't find anything. the best way to find decent regens there is to manually comb their national and youth teams

>Yeah, having a nonfunctional machine sounds a lot better than interrupting something
Its functioning. See? WAD

doubt it

decisions is literally THE most important attribute though

if its working why arent you playing fm

His mum thought that so she tried downloading more

The real problem is that the remote-access I mentioned is not a conventional program, and its functioning btw, but an in-house built one that allows access to a literal supercomputer so I can't just download and re-install this shit.

I've just looked at it: I've racked 428.155M€ in transfer money and spent 91,95M€ from season 16/17 to season 25/26. And Lo Celso was indeed a third of that. You don't need release clauses to make money anyway. Tho' obviously spotting and selling the best player in the world helped.

>But that causes a locker room revolt
Should've put that 20 Discipline lad, you're being to soft.
>"Boss, you should let him go."
>"I don't want to make us weaker you mong."
>"Oh yeah you're right, silly us."
Every locker room discussion ever.

>It's always this one player that starts and leads this revolution
Then he leaves as fast as possible and the others stay. Not worth the trouble.

>dat background
It's from the background pack. Zarica and Triglav have a different one, which is a nice touch 2bh. However Sava doesn't have one at all, kek.

I meant that I'm rich enough with enough staff slots that I can do it even if it's completely useless to do so, of course.

that and anticipation

>a literal supercomputer
PLEASE install FM and holiday to the year 10000

You'd be disappointed by how it looks, its a glorified command prompt

no, it will develop into sentient AI that will set out to exterminate the world's wingers

u20s STRONK

excellent

What the actual fuck is he eating

Yes but still. I've never really had issues playing decent midfielders as full backs. In lower leagues players are going to shit the bed occationally anyways.

in catania they literally eat for hours, it normally takes you 3 hours to have lunch and 3 to have dinner
it's clearly not food poisoning but he just ate too much and can't get up
t. half sicilian

mämmi

>Midfielder (Centre)
The new Diaby. That's how you spot injury prone players: they don't get serious injuries too often, they just chain garbage one week, two weeks injuries all the time.

huh?

100% based

...

>Should've put that 20 Discipline lad, you're being to soft.
I did, but it seems whatever I say players react badly. One of my players has been in good form lately and the media asks me about it and I say he needs to focus and keep working hard or something like that and he reacts badly, w-what?

>It's from the background pack. Zarica and Triglav have a different one, which is a nice touch 2bh. However Sava doesn't have one at all, kek.
Do you mind checking Rudar Trbovlje? I'll be disappointed if it's not their only landmark, the disgusting chimney.
