so I discovered this band last night
anybody heard about it?

Very overrated boring soyboy black metal garbage

come on you can certainly do better than that

how new are you

I walk down to a river mmhmmm..

le soy xD
I dig it OP, Mantle is for sure the definitive Agalloch album but I personally prefer Ashes against the grain

good stuff man, good stuff right there
amirite
is there a flowchart to this band? I really liked this

of course you fucking newfag

Personally, I really like it. If that makes me soy then fuck it, just soy my shit up.

can yo plase upload

...

DAMN ELITISTS

here you go pal
starts on ashes tho but that should be your next listen anyways
Basically Pale Folklore is a bit more folky
while Ashes/Morrow are a bit more atmospheric black metal, building off Mantle

I've already listened to all of their albums. Ashes Against the Grain is my favorite.

>not starting with Pale Folklore

Oo sorry I meant to reply to to dude asking for flowchart
Good taste tho

I dont make the charts man

ur a twink fag, fag

no u

You are A FAGGOT
DROP DEAD

OP here
I made this exact same thread about four years ago and Sup Forums wasn't quite as understanding or accepting of the newfag me back then
not sure if this is better or worse, but anyhow, thanks for the flowchart guys
I know all of their material and I'll probably put The Serpent somewhere there and Faustian Echoes, too
also it's a fucking sin that From Which of this Oak was left out

I wish the guitars were less rock-like and more black metal, the production wasn't so overtly clear, and the dude had better clean vocals as to me the cleans don't fit the aesthetic. These three things make the music not as evocative as it could've been to me.

Liked The Serpent, p good

you first

Get the fuck out I told you fuck yourself out of life stupid cocksucking twink

You sound like you really want to fuck him.

Back to /metal/ faggot

Heretoire is a good next step.

be careful, OP, cascadian black metal leads you down the primrose path to national socialism

>no Faustian Echoes
Garbage chart.

Why are people considering this album to be metal?
It only has 2 metal tracks, out of 9

dude I've been listening to this shit for years, anyone stupid enough to be led into nationalist socialist actions was probably gonna find that path one way or another

is it? got any tips on where to start? honestly I've listened to dozens of "similar" bands and others that influenced this one, ranging from Opeth to Katatonia to Nargaroth and other primal black metal bands and nothing clicked quite like Agalloch.

it's from a metal band, so inevitably it'll be labeled as such. the vocals also play a major role on this judgement
but I agree, this is hardly a metal record at all
