???I don't understand???
Brat, the first one
Leviathan, modern and obvious foreigner bait
If you consider been hitman is average I suggest Brother (1997)/Brother 2 (2000)
I Am Twenty (1965)
it even has Tarkovsky acting in a supporting role
Lilja-4-Ever
None of that is an average person, they're all weird. Night Watch and Day Watch are full of normal nobodies who act very much like normal people. Also, Gaidai was very good at making fun flicks about normal Soviet people.
Look no further than Green Elephant.
The Blyat Chronicles
What's an average? You need a Honey Boo Boo equivalent?
kekked
He looks like a WWII profile on a propaganda poster.
Leviathan
L'mask you sumn.
>Leviathan
Movie is based on story which happened in USA.
>Brother (1997)/Brother 2 (2000)

>None of that is an average person, they're all weird
For you.
tru ruske kino not translated into english blyad
he is a politician actually
The Postman's White Nights is similar to Leviathan (family drama in a pastoral setting, nostalgia for the "old days") but more relatable for the average Russian and less, as another poster put it, foreigner bait. And the actors are all average people with no prior acting experience.
>a movie about a spetznatz tier killer who goes out and murders and entire gang
>movies about the average russian
yeah bro sure
Durak is pretty cool OP
>russian "governement"
I'm utterly convinced that the uglier a race's men are, the more beautiful the women are.
This applies to slavs so hard.
You can only produce truly beautiful women from the loins of some ugly yam headed monstrosity.
>gullible rural kid that just managed to return from a Chechen War
>spetznaz tier killer
The first one is basically russian take on Taxi Driver.
Brat 2 is totally different though.
If you're in for some comedies, give imdb.com
He kills an entire gang in a cold and calculated manner. Just your average Sunday in Moscow I guess.
Don't be such a bore.
in da flesh
Just normal people you see on the street. Brother and Tarkovsky characters are a full on human beans, every person in every Zvyagintsev movie is a scumbag, that guy really hates his characters, same goes for Balabanov really, except he has the occasional human bean self-insert. Aleksei German Jr is probably the opposite, his characters are always too nice and too smart.
A boxer turned politician. Basically, Russian version of Arnold.
But that's literally how life is in Russia.
> Just your average Sunday in Moscow I guess

Arnold doesn't cure cancer by holy icons
Well ok then, here's another movie about an average russian then
pic related
Definetely
aik he has that giant-sickness orwhatsitsname which André the giant also had
i know right
"brother" is a satirical parody. this is how russian men see themselves.
Peculiarities of the National Hunt
Haha the national fishing one was also pretty funny.
>'mask you sumthn' Ivan
>*RUBS HEAD*
>*CUTS HAND ON JAGGED SKULL*
>you are not my brother, you black-assed crum
How did Balabanov get away with this?
Russians always look so angry.
Like someone just shit on their desk...
>implying russian mafia doesnt exist
Wonder if Finns are assblasted about their portrayal.
when finns arent assblasted? its either muh sweden or muh russia or muh not mongol.
They're usually the ones bragging about le cold weather and vodka.
About their portrayal as normal people that get weirded out by a bunch of russian drunk rednecks? The main finnish guy was pretty chill too.
Probably the most accurate depiction of what Russians are like tbqhdesu. And a decent flick in general.
it's not about mafia
