some of your "jazz/blues" tracks do not sound like jazz or blues.
with that said "black" is a really good track

lol yeah i just put random shit for genre lately

i'm going to be honest, i do not get your ep. like it's telling a story for sure but i don't get why i'd listen to it

>i don't get why i'd listen to it
i don't either, don't worry

ehhh it is odd. I thought it was mixed awkwardly. Could have had the vocals feel more ambient or you could have brought in a consitant 1 / 2 kick snare to keep tempo

The beats are boring. Tho melodies are nice.
Mixing and mastering is not that great desu. Also, super repetitive drums. Pretty good tho.

Was not aware of the rules. Thanks.
It is okay overall but the mixing is needs some work. Sounds like the kick is looping over itself. Also the reverb on the voice makes the voice sounds like a weird instrument as opposed to spoken word. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
You should invest in a microphone. You can get a decent snowball for only $49.99. Also you need to enunciate a lot more.

Here is my track:
soundcloud.com/ral-garog/transformation

Not sure of the genre. I call it feels step.

youtube.com/watch?v=qM33w4Liiss

Hey guys, I made a music video for a song I made. Can you let me know if its shit?

maybe I kind of missed the point but I feel like the percussion is great but the musical bit maybe needs more diversity. like having a sound instrument that only plays in the second half of a song as oppose to the whole thing featuring multiple instruments that switch between. sorry if this is shit advice though, its good music, keep up the good work man
this might be just as shitty advice as the last guy, but I think this is pretty good and would also be a pretty great backing track to a song with lyrics, but since its an instrumental piece I feel like it should have more diversity or a second section or something if you want to hold the listeners attention. it is good though, its pretty ear candy ish and kind of strange while still being accessible.

You are not the one who gave this advice so far. Thanks, man.

soundcloud.com/zmv1510n/jump-man
>trap beat

feed back appreciated

>you are not the one who gave this advice so far
what do you mean user? and no problem my man

Couple of people said that my music lacks diversity and large scale dynamics.

I really love this, everything about it really. It's perplexing, but in a way that's obviously intended, even if in a weird higher-understanding sort of thing.

This reminds me a lot of the books, if you haven't heard of them you need to look them up asap. It's not shit, I thought that was pretty sick, but could do without the ren and stimpy clip

But um.
Here's one of a few videos I made for my latest album.
I go by Father Dragon, my genre gets a little schyzo, but I'm basically like synthesizer-orchestral-dreampop
youtube.com/watch?v=aM9psoTxxew

interesting idea, but the back ground music just sounds like a bunch of noises randomly their no pattern or anything

i really liked it would've been better if the faster drum pattern came earlier because the start is pretty plain

me

oh yeah, I mean its not a bad thing. Its just hard to listen to in the foreground when theres only subtle changes. I still think its good music though, Ive tried making breakcore and it always comes out clustered as fuck and not even in an appealing way.
what exactly about it reminds you of the books? and yeah man Im a huge fan of the books so that comparison is very flattering.
And im glad ya liked the video. I thought the ren and stimpy clip wasnt very fitting too, ill probably black it out sometime. thanks for the advice!
by the way echolalia is great. ive seen a lot of great stuff in these bandcamp threads but a lot of it sounds very amateurish (including my own stuff). this is very high quality and well produced, so props my man

I just listened to your video. The clicks on the bass drum are unbearable. Otherwise it's fucking awesome. Would you like to do a collab? You write everything but drums - I do drums.

soundcloud.com/lilyungadogtrapper/thots-cocks-sock-fox

I kek'd so hard.

oh man is it really that bad? would it benefit from turning the bass drums down or is it just the bass drums in general that suck?
but hey thanks for the kind words and the advice i appreciate it.
and sure man id love to do a collab! you mean like one song or a whole ep/album thing?

Down to business ( some really good shit in this thread, have enjoyed listening to all this talent these past few weeks that inspires me to be less shit)

Second for the cage the elephant vibe. A better quality mic would sky rocket your song to a legit spotify release. I like your vocals, maybe make them a little louder aswell? Like the artwork, just charmingly shitty enough if that was the point? no hate

loved the beat and the fact you went straight into the verse. flow was delicious and quality seemed good. The beat had a nice dreary simpsonswave vibe which didn't gel well with your fast flow. that's my only critique

chill lo fi, anime hip hop study beats for sure. all sounds clean though and human error was just a tasty comfy track.
big fan

recs:

kaisekidigital.bandcamp.com/album/digital-impressions

here's my last album, thanks to the guys @Kaiseki Digital

telle me what you guys think!

>electronic // ambient // IDM

enjoyed drowning the most, real indie movie soundtrack vibes. Bipolar was interesting, early arctic monkeys vibe. Think your voice could be a little stronger, or turn up the volume a little as the guitar was dominating and i couldn't quite pick out all your lyrics

Got great advice in this thread from ghost that I think you could benefit from: be more confident with your rapping. I like the barz, but you don't come across as that confident and jesus like. I love your vibe we should collab for some memerap

Feel that navigation could use some extra spooki sea sounds, like the vibe you're going for with it, but don't feel the nautical mood is all the way there. I found it really interesting that the rest of the album was so far removed from a traditional song structure compared to the first track. Trapped reminded me a lot of the last level from the xbox game condemned where you are trapped (hurr hurr) in a house with a serial killer. Like where you are going though, check out as I feel you guys are on the same page

Early "The Cure" vibes, liked the tinkle tinkle synth sprinkled throughout the track. Vocals felt a little too flat and monotone to work, a slight hint of variation would definitely hold my attention a lot more. the speed up was kinda cool so early on.
"And I'm running at you - not a thing I wanna do,
but I'm here stuck in your lane.
So if you could just stay the same,"
Reminded me of Television's second album.
Interesting in hearing more of your stuff.

Simple enough, quite a jolly deus ex/ synthwave mood. I feel you could loop and double the length of the track and it would be awesome for latenight cruising when you want to listen a mood not a song. Keep it up we are listening bro.

Will Continue

I am

This is some real good shit. Mixing and production are spot on, assuming you got this done at a studio. Liked the quirky album cover, fits right in with the songs but not pretentious. Reminded me of John Martyn. Loved the pioneer mood throughout. Feel Sprats in oil stood out a little because of it's energy compared to the other tracks, threw me off a little as I was chilling. Really solid stuff, can't wait to hear what you've got next

recc'd before

Cool visuals for the video, felt a sad boyes vibe. The 69 sample is fucking hilarious and i definitely want to hear more. it just works ironically and as a piece you can have on with other people in the room.

solid memes, like a slav lonely island for 2018. you should collab with the guy who did soyboy (he posts on here). liked the flow and the monotone works with the beats. could see this being played in clubs and slav hood boiz cars. Good shit.

intro felt a little too long and the song felt a little underdeveloped but I dug it. Fell it could be part of a set during the beginning of a club night but maybe not a stand alone piece. The artwork is pretty cool as well, just the right amount of a e s t h i c s

Will hopefully be coming back for more people later

I am

we have some songs we're working on for our debut mixtape that are different - a bit punk-ish and industrial, but for now we're focusing on trap because it's simple and it helps us grow an audience here in serbia
