The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

I wonder what the future of Gachimuchi music will be, while it's mostly dead on Sup Forums, there's still a sizeable following in Ukraine and Russia - anons from there have set up memorials for him, even Ukraine v Russia shitposting has died down in mourning. There's also memorials in Belarus and Moldova. While I was never a part of the subculture, it still makes me sad, because it's clear it meant a lot to people.
