Aka EXACTLY what I suspected your ACTUAL story was when I wrote (since people who come into these threads attempting to make the same sorts of points as you almost always have the same story.) Passing judgment on an artist's ENTIRE musical catalog based on just 3-4 songs is idiotic. Especially when it comes to artists (like Grimes) whose music tends to range very widely in form and style.

I first heard of Grimes via the marketing push for Visions, and avoided her like the plague because of it for approximately three years. Once the hype surrounding my initial knowledge of her died down I was able to go back as a listener and give her music a fair chance - and she's now my favorite current solo musical artist...
