What about THE MARS VOLTA

...

Yes

...

...

...

10/10

Does pic related count?

I never really could get into Can I'm afraid

yes definitely

What about this?

...

...

...

Whats better in your opinion?

Your pic or The Quiet Zone?

Why must the sound quality be so bad

Also this one, is from the chilean band Los Jaivas, takes the text of Pablo Neruda, chilean nobel prize, and puts music to it. Very very nice.

I listen to the remastered version on Spotify and its pretty good

pleb

I stared at the record player throughout side one

...

Why is early genesis so comfy?

There's more than just TMV when it comes to 21st century prog worth checking out.

...

These are always the best threads on here

...

Hell yea. The snow goose is great as well

underrated, I wish the vocals didn't sound like fucking post-grunge but other than that it's fantastic progressive rock, just as good as the best stuff that came out in the '70s

...

>liking Supertramp more than Can

...

...

...

...

Absolute legend right here lads

...

Both Ommadawn and Tubular Bells. Mike Oldfield is the goat

snowgoose is incredible

...

>God tier prog album thread
>Not posting any Gentle Giant

Up your game Sup Forums

...

Another classic. I was just about to post it after and .

>no CttE yet
what the fuck is wrong with you people

>he didn't mention amarok
>HE DIDNT MENTION FUCKING AMAROK
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Seriously, Amarok is fucking tits, and his very best. Ommadown is lovely too.
>that guitar solo towards the end of the second song
fucking hell

This is just so cold and unimaginative compared to the other albums posted here

...

...

Extremely underrated

Definitely not progressive rock.

And you had to ruin it with that anime OST-tier turd of an album. Not trying to be a dickhead, Dream Theater is just really really bad.

superior Tull album incoming

Stop posting old shit everyone and their grandma has already heard a million times
Here's some fresh shit just released this year, Perfect Beings - Vier

youtube.com/watch?v=IgRYwPnHyfY

Wrong

...

How could I forget Amarok, that album is sick

Not necessarily god tier, but Wobbler's From Silence to Somewhere might be the best classic style prog album of the 2010s

nobody knows this

h-h-h-happy, user?

...

...

...

boys.. come on

...

This

Don't mind me, just posting one of the best Prog albums of the 21st Century.

I've been obsessed with this for the past few months. The first 3 tracks are 10/10 imo and the rest are at least 8/10

This is such a strange album. Shame only one song made it into the movie.

...

Quit being an elitist cunt, they have spectacular moments and sometimes albums worth of filler. 6DOIT is a perfect deconstruction of the progressive rock/metal concept album

>Not trying to be a dickhead, I'm just being a dickhead.

God damn dude. Way to miss the point of music and art entirely.

When did you guys realize that music snobs really are no better than Justin Beiber fans?

...

Yes

Fite me IRL.

Does this count?

This is by far best Rush, no argument imo.

...

...

Deloused, Bedlam, and Frances yes
the rest of their discography is pretty shit in comparison to those three god-tier albums

...

How is all of their shit so good?

...

no

Amputecture is alright as a supplement to Frances and Deloused. It feels like a bunch of random singles made in the vein of the vision of those albums. Should've called it quits at bedlam though, the new ATDI stuff and Antemasque wasn't too great either compared to past works.

:(

no. even though it is a god-tier album, it is not prog

I want to like older rock like this but for some reason the quality of the songs puts me off hard. I think the oldest song I love to listen to is Franklin's Tower by Grateful Dead but the tone inherently puts me off and it's unfortunate

youtu.be/ZMpuHeXnGyE

listen to delusion rain and hay man dreams

best American Prog artist coming through

...

Anyone?

This is a great album but I wouldn’t call it prog

Trash

thirded

Pawn hearts and Godbluff are def in top 10, but I think Godbluff > Pawn hearts

I have to agree with this guy tho, I was a Dream Theater fan myself, they're pretty bad after I became a prog rock/jazz/classical fan.
