>tfw still no Christian Shoegaze/Dream Pop movement
Tfw still no Christian Shoegaze/Dream Pop movement
Only difference would be lyrics. Who the fuck listens to lyrics in shoegaze/dream pop.
In Christian Shoegaze, I would (at least try to). :^)
This meme was made by some trashy prottie in Louisiana I bet
My Bloody Valentine is technically Christian Shoegaze
>all Christians are southern hicks
Nice try, Satan!

TEll me if you hate it
I want to hear some Shoegaze with heavenly guitar noise and feedback as Scripture from the Song of Solomon is sung between a boy and a girl:
Behold, you are beautiful, my love,
behold, you are beautiful!
Your eyes are doves
behind your veil.
Your lips are like a scarlet thread,
and your mouth is lovely.
Your cheeks are like halves of a pomegranate
behind your veil.
Your two breasts are like two fawns,
twins of a gazelle,
that graze among the lilies.
Until the day breathes
and the shadows flee,
I will go away to the mountain of myrrh
and the hill of frankincense.
You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no flaw in you.
No bully the Protties plz. >:|
Awesome. I'll definitely check this out, user. :)
Thanks, but I'm already a big fan of Starflyer 59 and Lift to Experience. Those seem to be like the few instances of anything close to Christian Shoegaze.
Is there anything more beautiful than the Song of Solomon, user?
I'm starting a Christian rock band soon, got any names I can steal?
Very cool, user, I like a lot :3
Why would you want to take a good genre and ruin it with Christianity?
in the meantime, enjoy some Christian Lightcore, OP.

underrated
You mean SAVE it with Christianity :3
this
>My Bloody Valentine is technically Christian Shoegaze
elaborate
Christian music sucks for the same reason all music trying to push an agenda sucks. It's not actually about the music.
Depends on the music desu.
For example, Amazing Grace is a lovely song. It also happens to be about salvation. If you're honest, you can transmit your feelings through your art with ease. Every person has an agenda of some kind, user.
Christianity is fine to serve as artistic inspiration, as an artist might find inspiration in any ancient story or myth. But the second it crosses the line into preachy or overbearing, it all goes downhill.
I suppose you're right, but it just feels too forced for me. Without trying to sound like an edgy atheist, maybe it's just worshiping god in general that's too forced for me. I used to go to church but I couldn't fool myself anymore. I actually performed a Christian song at an open mic night they held once (though it's pretty much rips off the melody from Cecilia).
Then perhaps worship music isn't your bag (it isn't mine). I prefer songs about searching and deep longing. You know, songs detailing the dirty reality of the broken human condition. I think "Christian" music get a bad rep because of the "worship" genre.
why would they make more christian shoegaze when they perfected it the first time you goober
i hate the updated cover art
You're right that they perfected it the first time, but you posted the wrong album
seriously no one has mentioned Spacemen3/Spiritualized?
A Storm In Heaven by The Verve? You could at least pretend it's Christian anyways
Starflyer 59??
these guys were heavy into drugs and acid js
well youve got the innocence mission
