in the vid you posted i like the slight offset of the hihats from kick and snare. very slight but gives it that Feel.
nice change of rhythm.
feels like it could use more melodic changes, or new layers with melody. you found really good blend of sounds, itd be cool to hear more clear direction using them.

Here is Early morning, I’m gonna give feedback as soon as I can, sorry
Thank you for the kind words
Thank you for the feedback!
here
beautiful. did you make the guitar part or is it a sample from somewhere?
love the beat, especially when the shaker comes in and then again when it gets doubletime, and at first i wasn't a fan of the sound of the drum samps but they grew on me. they're not super punchy but they're punchy enough to give it a physical feel, while lowkey enough not to overpower the guitar.
not a lot i'd add to this track. real beautiful music. great video too
intro was real nice. once it dropped in it felt out of place until the vocal sample, which to me fully finished the transition and solidified the new section.
pretty but it gets repetitive. i like that i can hear the individual sounds though, they don't get lost in the sauce. listening to the individual sounds like that, like a cross section of the song, i feel like i enjoy it more. like a lot of different characters moving together in a line and dancing around each other. i wanna hear that line make some turns though!
as this goes on, around halfway thru when the other vocal comes in, i feel more like this track is like moving seamlessly between different scenes. cool compositional effect to do seamless transition, kinda minimalist, but i wanna hear more ground covered if you know what i mean.
Thank you
I have some shorter tracks in the works. I was closest to finishing with Lava Monster so I dropped it when I did. I'm gonna hold off on 10+ minute long tracks for a while :)
Just dropped my first beat tape. Returning all follows and comments.

I love your music man, so glitchy and beautiful.
Really digging the cover art and that you play around with tempo changes.
my pleasure. lookin forward to hearin em!
for me this exemplifies "electronic music" and other producers should take note of what can be done. creates welcoming space but still interesting to listen to the whole way thru on all these tracks. many people seem to only pick one of these things!
no complaints at all just keep makin music and sharin it. need more peace like what you make

can't tell if you're a model or a musician based on what your SC looks like. i think you can work on mixing and recording in general, if you get a better mic it'll be easier for you to get good tones out of your voice i think. drums are corny, guitar tones are corny too. good on you for putting shit out there regardless but definitely try to clean it up a bit

i dislike the first beat already dude
oh god this is like early eminem minus anything remotely tied to 2018, sounds like circa 2004 dude
get a new producer and maybe try some xanax
i'm a total bitch for american primitivism dude. good stuff, but i'd like to hear it without reverb. the best thing about those old fahey and basho recordings is they didn't have anything to hide behind. it kinda muddies it up imo. great stuff otherwise.
and thanks! on my soundcloud i do full band stuff, feel free to check it out!
i really like your song composition.
i agree with in that these would sound great with a full band.
the doubled vocals are cool too, don't hear that a lot these days and i think it works well with the stripped down guitar arrangements. the simple sound is cool but more dynamics and emotion with your vox could help differentiate the sections of each song better and add crucial dimension.
mostly though get a band together to record these songs, would be so cool to hear with bass and drums and pedal steel/slide guitar. youre from bakersfield the ultimate country town make it happen!

Son of Mac is cheeky as fuck, I love it
also really dug Black Sheep, you have that sound down
this chillwave type stuff always gets me going, rad sounds
A Downfall Child has a sort of retro-80s feel to it but also mixed with a bit of experimental and a bit of more modern indie, pretty sick, I look forward to more
mostly electronic
thank you, i appreciate the kind words. i usually flesh shit out a lot more but i made a point to only use one microphone and my old 1943 martin for the whole record as a challenge. it's the only thing i've put out that's this stripped back, you can check out my soundcloud for tracks that i've done with full instrumentation. my next release will definitely have a lot more sound all over it.
i recommend you all in this thread to listen to if you want to be comfy
love the cover, very american.
very peaceful on the first track. reminds me of charlie parr and also of walking on the trails near where i live.
can you rec any other american primitivism?
you into old time or bluegrass at all?
not him but i suggest any and all john fahey and also jim o'rourke's record Bad Timing, which meets american primitivism with Eno-esque ambient and is one of my favorite albums ever
go away reddit
thanks, will check out bad timing. i like john fahey from the little ive heard

i saw charlie parr where i live in los angeles last year and his wife or daughter or friend sat next to me. charlie told a story of coming down the 5 freeway from the central valley and stopping at the indian restaurant that is heavily advertised along the way. his wife or daughter or friend turned to me and said "it was okay. not great. just okay." i laughed pretty hard

thanks! I actually put a lot of time into this release trying to get the best of every track and I guessed it turned out fine since I'm satisfied with my album and I'm receiving positive feedback overall
thanks for the feedback! Now that you've said this about dark light you're right, it's actually a little similar in terms of warmth to a warm place. I will surely keep it up! btw i commented your sc with my own feedback
talking of similarities also in RainB/W i have kind of "got insipiration" from Tim Hecker's Amps, Drugs, Mellotron, maybe too too much haha

kind of reminds me of aphex's side projects like AFX and Polygram whateveritscalled. Good stuff though! Maybe this is just adhering to my deepest darkest music fetishes but this is really soothing to listen to as foreground or background. I think maybe on d0ngpressed you could turn the percussion down a very tiny bit but thats the only crtique I have. Keep it up! (((nice monika btw)))
dude this is JUST what I needed for homework music. not to mention I've been getting really into comfy music lately. do you by any chance have a youtube?
good stuff though! its restrained enough to be very relaxing while still having enough elements and textures to keep it interesting and enjoyable. that filtered wind/roomnoise(?) in spring is a really nice touch that I didn't notice the first time I listened, so thats really cool as well
youre the guy who posted the song for kek right? I actually am liking your stuff a lot the more I listen to it. I feel like theres not enough music of just reletentless atonal audacity experiments and broken transmission type surrealism, so this appeases one of my niche fetishes. keep it up! I will for sure listen to more later, its super surreal sounding
new track is great man! I love the use of samples in your music and the new one is no exception. although one critique I have is sometimes the vocals seem just slightly too loud for the music which gives off an awkward vibe, so you could work on mixing a tiny bit

Listened to the Mayonaise cover. I like the guitar work, though the performances are kinda messy and out of time. The drums sound like an afterthought and it's a bit distracting. Your vocals have a nice quality to them, though they sound a bit dry. I enjoyed it overall though. Great song to cover
Heavy trippy beats, looking for feedback and rappers to collab, will return feedback on SC

maybe is anxiety-inducing for the ending? I got three or four tracks in this release that are made to experience that but contact wouldn't be one of them haha for me it's kinda neutral as a track
