Just look up some Death in June or Current 93. It's a style of folk music that emerged out of the industrial and post-punk scenes in the UK in the 1980s and synthesizes those musical elements with older folk rock like Strawbs or Comus, for example. A lot of it is aesthetically informed by a kind of melancholy, romantic vision of an older Europe, occultism/esotericism, folktales, etc.
