Yes lets talk about this.
I tried a thread with sholay awhile ago with no replies apart from these plebs shitting up the thread
This is the first Bollywood movie I've seen and I really enjoyed it. I liked the few dance/music scenes even though it was incredibly cheesy.
Any similar bollywood movies? The problem is most of them seem to be from the 70's and 80's
If you want really old KINO watch something like Charulata or Aparajito.
A more recent move 'Like stars on earth' gave me similar feels to 3 idiots though.
Some typical bollywood movies indians usually bring up are things like Om shanti om, Khabi khushi khabi gum and PK
>not enjoying Slumkino Millionaire
>I liked the few dance/music scenes even though it was incredibly cheesy.
That's just Bollywood desu
A lot of them are also shitty knock off's of popular Hollywood films but 3 idiots is surprisingly decent, if a bit long
This was fucking kino i dont care was very serious and the music scene really fit
not Bollywood
Based off Hamlet off course it's gonna be kino
Eh it essentially is. Has all the traits
If anyone genuinely wants to watch Bolly-kino watch Drishyam. No cheesy dance sequences or over the top action, 10/10 drama/thriller.
>No cheesy dance sequences or over the top action
but that's what makes Bollywood worth watching
Let me watch it ok? Ready for aamirkino
Can Bollywood really be 10/10
They have a very distinct style
Yeah, good joke, unlike what that movie had
Its best jokes were blatantly stolen but I guess it's okay when you have a designated shitting street
Best movie industry in India is not Bollywood. It's Mollywood. Tbf Mollywood did peak in the 90s but Bollywood was absolute trash until recently. It's kinda annoying that all attention is going to Bollywood when Mollywood is infinitely better.

You might find some of these films on YouTube with subtitles I was able to find Elipathayam (1981) with subtitles.
I'm from Kerala where the orginial and the best version of Drishyam was made. It's trash by Mollywood standards. Mollywood has way better films.
Drishyam is not Bollywood. It's Mollywood
>Its best jokes were blatantly stolen
From where? Usually wherever a bollywood film is lifting from is blatantly obvious, can't say I recognised it
