pre-80s movies were generally garbage

What did he mean by this?

My nigga. This is one of my favorite O'Toole films though technically this was a 1980 film.

>New Hollywood Era
>comfiest movies by far
lolno

So was Raging Bull, but they are still spiritually 70s films.

1980 is still the 70s

>They Might Be Giants
>The Day Of The Jackal
these are the comfiest movies to come out of the 70s, bar none

Eh, true. You could always make an argument that the early years of a new decade is the remnants of the previous one until it can assert its own identity.

I really do enjoy films from 1980 to 1982. You had Prince of the City, Somewhere in Time, Chariots of Fire, Arthur, An American Werewolf in London, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Thief, Clash of the Titans, Gallipoli, Excalibur, Escape from New York, Das Boot, Blade Runner, Tootsie, The Year of Living Dangerously, The Big Red One, Breaker Morant, Caddyshack, and Airplane!
