Post Hardcore
i didnt know you were a Sup Forumstant, dril
Drone
Although I do like Flood a lot so maybe I just need to look into it more
More than likely youve already heard this album and its not gonna win you over but this has always been my go-to folk punk song.
m.youtube.com
Alright heres mine: Krautrock
Garage rock
and don't say anything from Is This It
Harsh Noise
youtube.com
youtube.com
if you can't find anything to like about either of these songs, then Krautrock just isnt your shit.
Death Metal
Mostly because because I find the growling vocals hilarious
Metal.
It's literally edgelord: the genre.
Rap.
Shit I dunno man, try this
youtube.com
Country
If you dislike Halleluhwah then you have an objectively pleb taste
i can't stand pop punk
youtube.com
not that harsh but.
youtube.com
youtube.com
t. soyboy can't stand it
La Dispute - Wildlife
The Carrier - One Year Later
>disliking a particular genre
>a genre can be bad for itself
>good quality music and trash can't be found in each genre equaly
15 year olds
Country
You're right, I can't stand faggot edgelords
not all of it is edgy in a dishonest way though. there are some metal artists who i think actually have serious trauma or mental health issues going on. i don't mean to say that like it's a good thing, it's awful and i feel sorry for them, but i think that metal has been a way for those kinds of people to express themselves.
noise user is where you find those people.
>gerogerigegege
>bizarre uproar
both are pretty messed up people
breddy gud, thanks
You literally have to be a numale to earnestly make statements like this. There's absolutely nothing particularly edgy about metal unless you're utterly stupid and ineffectual.
Yeah, we all get you hate yourself, omega. Stop projecting.
Yeah, this is pretty great. I don't even hate metal. I just hate edgelords, so you can understand my plight.
Yeah, except half the genre is gore porn inspired by fantasies of slaughtering Christians.
Glad I made you happy user
harsh noise is shit though.
i think gero are good but that's cause they make actual music as well as walls of ear pain.
look at trist and xasthur. there are other "tortured" kinds of bm artists but those are the two whose music i really love. i think trist is kind of mentally stable now but scott still seems super depressed even with his recent musical changes reflecting a little bit of positivity.
half of ALL music is toilet trash
it's kind of worthwhile to find the exceptions
Black metal
Edgy metal is the only good kind though
Violent Femmes - Kiss Off
Fugazi - Waiting Room
Jay Reatard - My Shadow
>harsh noise is shit
i agree, it needs to have a beat at least.
noisecore > harsh noise
and yeah i guess black metal have lots of weirdos in it.
>t. doesn't actually listen to metal but believes they should comment and be taken seriously
But numetal sucks, user
But I have listened to a lot of metal and I also browse the metal generals sometimes
Ty Segall is good fuckin shit. If you want more, listen to Thee Oh Sees, Bass Drum of Death, or if you want more kinda psychedelic, listen to Wand. There's a lot of good stuff
Pic related. It's technically not black metal, but it shares most of the aesthetic, and it's a good way into the genre. It was even considered black metal when it was released, but it's a while ago
numetal is the only metal worth listening to
only if you like metal that comes with a market strategy.
>Satyricon - Dark Medieval Times
>Darkthrone - Panzerfaust
>Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
are my favorite first wave bm albums
21st century favorites:
>Hypothermia - Rakbladsvlasen
>Lifelover - Konkurs
>Abyssic Hate - Suicidal Emotions
>Xasthur - Telepathic With The Deceased
>Trist - Zrcadleni Melancholie
>Bilskirnir - Atavismus Des Glaubens
>Forteresse - Par Hauts Bois Et Vastes Plaines
>Inquisition - Anxious Death Forever
>Goatmoon - Death Before Dishonour
>Lurker of Chalice - S/T
That's fair. I've never been bothered by edginess but I can see why it'd be a turn off. Maybe stick to NWOBHM and stoner bands if you want more.
throatsinging
>But I have listened to a lot of metal and I also browse the metal generals sometimes
And you determined all of it is made to spite those pesky Christians? I'm not even a fan of metal, except 3 bands.
independent rock
>I also browse the metal generals sometimes
There's your problem user. /metal/ has the worst taste of any general.
there's a kpop general too
I'm gonna break the rules and post a genre I love. I want to see how pleb Sup Forums is.
Sludge.
why would you announce it you moron
>I also browse the metal generals sometimes
Oh dear.
>t. numetalmale
Literally adolescent edge lord loser in musical form
So are we supposed to post bad sludge songs then?
youtube.com
end yourself
Great taste. Pancho and Lefty is easily in the top 10 greatest country songs ever.
Shit taste. Get good.
Rap
Rock
Isis isn't terrible as soon as you realize that they really aren't sludge. They're basically noise rock meets atmospheric.
bebop. Holy fucking snore.
I hate grunge. Post grunge.
Grunge before grunge and also good.
Thrash Metal
Fucking Third-Wave Ska Punk can suck my nuts.
please change my view on this subject
youtube.com
youtube.com
The deep cuts on this album in general are very good, if you don't like it I can't help you.
Kpop
Bump
>pop punk
a lot of pop punk is ear-bleedingly awful but some of my favourite bands could be categorised in it
Lifetime are great
youtube.com
early Saves The Day was a really good "adolescent with a lot of feelings and a whiny voice" type band (often poorly replicated, and probably more appealing when you're 16 like when I heard them)
youtube.com
and Tigers Jaw used to play a more subdued emo-sided style of it which was pretty nice
youtube.com
Chinese Post-Punk Folk

youtu.be
youtube.com
i listenned to it when I was 15 and thought it was okay
I fucking hate UK Grime
Crunk-core
Glam Rock / Hair Metal
stuff like Kiss - We Love it Loud, Twisted Sister - I Wanna Rock, Motley Crue - Girls Girls Girls, etc.
That whole sound and aesthetic just doesn't do it for me.
Carmen Rizzo's remixes of Huun Huur Tu
youtube.com
Anything noise related fucking SUCKS
I cannot bare Lo-Fi hip hop/beats like Nujabes. It's just glorified elevator music.
doesn't do anything for me. nothing about it stands out, entirely forgettable.
cheat. posting 70's, heavily prog-influenced proto-glam doesn't count.
but yeah, i admit it's pretty good.
>pop punk
Love me some Jeff.
Jeff Rosenstock - Get Old Forever

Jeff Rosenstock - Festival Song

Jeff Rosenstock - We Begged 2 Explode

imo if you don't like joyce manor there's no chance of you warming to pop punk. i don't like it either but i think this band is decent.

i guess you could call title fight pop punk as well. title fight fans would prob be upset about me saying that but i think they're pretty pop ish.
